Agree...perhaps I should also come out with physical vents. They attach to the existing vents and the louvers are hand adjustable.

Honestly, as soon as these things start breaking out of warranty people will be scrambling for manual retrofits but ones that swap out for the motors not on top of the existing ones.
At least I'd happily consider that if it saves cash after 60k miles

In poking around under the passenger footwell for EV Play, I think I recall seeing the center vent actuators. I don't feel it would be too difficult to disconnect them and then add a few tabs to the vents.

Could Auto-mate Mae the vents oscillate?

Also, I really want buttons to pair with the Auto-Mate I just found out about and immediately ordered. A button to trigger climate keep, or to turn off auto door locking behavior, or turn wipers off and put them in the service position if I’m parking and it’s snowing/going to snow. Etc. etc. the more buttons the merrier (but not too may). I like the Ctrl-bar look/idea. Maybe two programmable knobs too, please!

I suggested oscillating vents to Rivian. That would give a reason for why the vents are motorized and could cool the cabin down better. I like that idea.

I have too! It’s literally the only feature that could justify the damn (overly complex/expensive) things. Crickets, of course, as with all my suggested feature requests.

I think there's different placement, but they are still motorized as they are controlled on the center display, just like in a R1.
