For those interested in the Slate EV, it will be *somewhere* in Denver this Sunday, 8/3. Unless it's a total PIA to get to, I plan to go check it out. I doubt I will buy a Slate, but I like what they are trying to do...

Maybe they just messed up the schedule and the Improper City dates are the only Denver dates? I could just hit that one I guess - it's like 4 blocks from the Rivian Space.

I would appreciate some pix, and your assessment as to whether or not I can fit a slate in the back of my R1S. (with the seats folded down, of course)

Have a couple small scratches on my R1S. Taking my tent off myself and scrapped a door and a tiny scratch on the tailgate. I went to a local reputable repair shop and was quoted $3k to fix. Because they say they need to take the door off, emblems and replace stripping and other parts.

These are the scratches. I used touch up paint to cover one.

3k is a lot lol....are there any recommendations for paint shops that could take care of this?

I have found out that Denver DMV is currently working on paperwork received June 12 - so there is almost a 2 month backlog for Denver County.

Just an update for anyone having similar difficulties. I'm still in CA, but I was able to successfully register on August 4 by calling the Denver DMV. They provided the title and letter ID's in order to register online at https://mydmv.colorado.gov/ . (I still haven't received the title complete letter).

My AZ temp plate is not expired (AZ does 90 day temps), but the fees included a $50 late fee - not sure if that was the state's issue or Rivian's, but Rivian was late getting my paperwork in to the DMV due to lease errors. Rivian did reimburse this upon request and submission of the receipt. So happy to finally be done with this lease transaction - about 80 days from delivery to registration!

So, if the DMV is charging you a late fee due to no fault of your own, make sure to request reimbursement from Rivian.

Yea, I traded my R1T and got an R1S Dual Performance.

I am in the same boat. Did you find a reasonable dealer for a simple paint job ?

Contact at CO Springs SC indicated an Englewood-Centennial SC is set to come online in the next 60 days or so. They’ll have a night technician crew as well, so should add some good service capacity to the front range.

Take it with a grain of salt...but my service advisor at the Denver SC said the Boulder/Broomfield location would likely open during Q1 next year.
