In Switzerland my R1S is limited to 5 seats because of the 3.5 ton limit. This might change in the future (and may already be different in Germany) because of the ruling to raise the limit of B-category vehicles and drivers licenses to 4.25 tons for vehicles with alternative propulsion systems.

I already knew about that, but my last information is that the EU didn't finally decide yet. And even If it's decided Germany would need quite some time to realize that in German law. That process might also take one to two years

Made it to Austria. Need to reset the 12V battery, car came off the container with 53%+ SoC. Did the disconnect. Charging in Germany and Austria at IONITY and Smatrics is fast (217kW peak). Get 7kW at home at the 22kW charger (single phase 32A)

How you reset the 12V system?

There should be an option in the RIDE menu for that. I never tried it, but I think it is in there. Do a search on how to the RIDE menu

Yes, I know. I was in the RIDE menu, restarting the 12V and everything there.

Unfortunately, the car still doesn't work. The problem stemmed from the fact that during transport from the US to Europe, the 12V batteries weren't disconnected, and the car went crazy.

I don't know what to do. I don't want to have a brick in my garage for years.

I live in Costa Rica and my local shop was able to change the batteries using this procedure, and everything is working fine.

My R1T was in transit to Europe for three months.
During that time, both batteries died, and the car's modules went crazy.

After I picked up the car, I replaced both batteries with new ones, also AGM.

When I started the car by connecting both batteries simultaneously (like Rivian's mobile technicians), the car kept getting errors and wouldn't activate the HV line.

On the forums, they say that if the rear of the car doesn't work, or one side of the car doesn't light up, it means the modules aren't receiving a stable voltage// the voltage isn't reaching every module.

Hello eSUBA94, have you managed to restart the 12V? The „Service“ light is lit on your display. I’ve noticed that „Service“ is lit on quite a few accident vehicles at Copart and IAAI. Perhaps the voltage isn’t released due to a crash event? Or was the vehicle auctioned as „run and drive“? Without a diagnosis, it’ll probably be difficult. I have an R1S here in Germany with active „dyno mode.“ No adaptive cruise control, ABS, or traction control. Everything is deactivated. Since experts in every single forum agree that the Rivian doesn’t have a dyno mode, I can’t deactivate it. Not yet.

Witaj eSUBA94, czy udało Ci się ponownie uruchomić 12 V? Na Twoim wyświetlaczu świeci się kontrolka „Service”. Zauważyłem, że w wielu samochodach powypadkowych na Copart i IAAI świeci się kontrolka „Service”. Być może napięcie nie zostało zwolnione z powodu wypadku? A może pojazd został wystawiony na aukcję z włączonym trybem „run and drive”? Bez diagnozy prawdopodobnie będzie to trudne. Mam R1S w Niemczech z aktywnym „trybem hamowni”. Nie ma adaptacyjnego tempomatu, ABS ani kontroli trakcji. Wszystko jest wyłączone. Ponieważ eksperci na każdym forum zgadzają się, że Rivian nie ma trybu hamowni, nie mogę go wyłączyć. Jeszcze nie.

Many RIVIANs on Copart have the SERVICE MODE symbol because it's normally enabled in the menu — just like turning on car wash mode. This prevents the previous owner from messing with the car through the app. Copart should enable delivery mode, but it doesn't.

first time I've heard of dyno mode. If it's just a software glitch, I can give you contact with someone in Europe who can connect to your car remotely via RJ45 from your laptop and fix the problem.

No, it didn't work. I was left with a brick in my yard worth 30,000 euro.
Every electrical repair shop in Poland I called wouldn't repair it, saying it was a rare car. A week after I called, every repair shop posted a video of them repairing a ultrarare Xiaomi car blockded by xiaomi in EU and US. They work on VPN.

To connect with the app, you have to write to Rivian and provide the car's ownership documents. It takes less than 48 hours.
Apparently, you can add a key via Bluetooth, but I have no way to check it at home because the car won't start anyway.
