    Rivian Owners Germany

Just brought my R1T to Austria - going through registration soon. Just converted my rear blinkers to amber turn signals with another forum member who sells a conversion kit. Plug and Play - super easy. 60min to install. Germany is relatively easy - contact www.auto-mandt.com - they have done...
  2. Installing HomeAssistant to capture Rivian API data - DIY How-to

Same here. Had a few as of late, but all working well otherwise. Greeting from good old Austria!
  3. Master List of Exported Rivians

A quick update from Austria. Shipper failed to follow the written and confirmed instructions and did not disconnect the 12V battery (they did the HV pack), Car arrived in August with ~55% SoC and the 12V warning on. Been stuck with that until now - driving approx 3000 miles like that. Even...
  4. Master List of Exported Rivians

Made it to Austria. Need to reset the 12V battery, car came off the container with 53%+ SoC. Did the disconnect. Charging in Germany and Austria at IONITY and Smatrics is fast (217kW peak). Get 7kW at home at the 22kW charger (single phase 32A)

    Rivian Owners Germany

Well the car finally made it to Bremerhaven yesterday. Got it through customs and drove 1000+km of Autobahn to Windischgarsten, Austria 53% SoC on arrival. Dropped it off in the Bay Area in May with 81% SoC, sat on the lot until June 6th when it was transferred into a container and battery was...
  6. My first review: traded in Tesla Model X P100D for 2025 R1S Tri Motor

Very similar experience after 10 years and 6 Teslas. 2x Model S, 2x Model X und 2x Model Y. Purchased FSD or its earlier equivalent on the first 4 then gave up. Was just a waste of money for features that never came during the life of these leases. Tried FSD last in November and while it has...
  7. All OEM wheels now available as spare tires + new tire lift harness in Gear Shop

About 2900 for a set of four plus the TPMSs. I called and asked for winter tires. They gave me the link to their recommendations in terms of tires and gave me that price for the wheels. Took about 1-2 weeks to get them. FYI The TPMSs that came with the set were identical to the OEM setup I got...
  8. All OEM wheels now available as spare tires + new tire lift harness in Gear Shop

They will sell you rims if you call. I need an extra set identical to my 20” dark ones for a set of snow tires. They sold me the rims with tpms sensors and had mobile service drop them off as they were in the area.
  9. Vampire drain - I'm seeing a pattern...

… or what ElectraFi thinks the capacity is. They do their own math, but also only get 0.1% increments of SoC from Rivian.
  10. Vampire drain - I'm seeing a pattern...

It's most likely multiples of 0.1% of your batteries capacity... (see my explanation above)
  11. Vampire drain - I'm seeing a pattern...

Regarding the steps you are seeing: this is a simple math/precision thing that is happening to any app or service that consumes the Rivian API. The battery SoC sensor that Rivian exposes has a resolution of 0.1% or 1/1000th. If you multiply this with the size of the capacity of the battery...
  12. Installing HomeAssistant to capture Rivian API data - DIY How-to

Yes battery temp is really missing. Did not see it in the API docs in the underlying GitHub repo that the HA integration uses. If it is simply missing and you have the details, I’d be happy to help with a PR. Would be great to do an inventory of other missing sensors that might exist in the...

You are very welcome. Great for you to share your experience it helps me and others too to validate broader trends.
  14. Installing HomeAssistant to capture Rivian API data - DIY How-to

These spikes have started with firmware 2024.47.01 and seem to be more calculation anomalies than anything real. Seeing the exact same. Before that firmware the capacity of my R1T was an almost constant flat line. Regarding the drop in capacity: it seems to ‘help’ the vehicle show less phantom...
  15. No Error Codes: How to change or disconnect the 12V Battery w/o throwing errors

Ha! You got me. Did not take off my rings as I was told in school many years ago. Funny thing: not photoshopped…
  16. No Error Codes: How to change or disconnect the 12V Battery w/o throwing errors

Correct. This is a simple procedure that seems to always work. As an electrical engineer by trade, the ground rule is to always remove all sources of power. It simply works. There might be other procedures and one can always ignore this and do it differently.
  17. No Error Codes: How to change or disconnect the 12V Battery w/o throwing errors

Turns out there is a safe and seemingly reliable way to disconnect and or change the main 12V battery on 2023+ Gen 1 Single Battery R1Ts (and most likely R1Ss) - at least as of firmware 2024.51.02 (not tried or tested earlier). Here are the simple steps that allow you to prep the car for...
  18. Honest Feedback on buying 2023 R1T- knowing what you know

2023 R1T Quad here with 15k miles. Love the truck just like on day one when we got it. Service scheduling can be a bit of an issue due to the wait times, but every time when I called they were ultimately able to squeeze me in earlier or once sent a mobile service. Service quality has been top...
  19. Installing HomeAssistant to capture Rivian API data - DIY How-to

Me too - even (or especially) after many years using it. Cannot imagine running a modern household and life for that matter without it. Got the same data for our Teslas through the Tessie API. I control Solax Solar and Storage, heating/cooling through KNX, pool and whirlpool, security...
