My read has been with communication like this that "Adventure Trim" includes LE.
Never thought of it this way but LE is a subset of adventure trim. I can't think of a compelling reason that a pre November 2020 LG pack adventure configuration would be a launch edition. In that respect Lg. pack adventure trims are only different than LE by delivery date. Yes I understand the badging is different and the wheel upgrade is included in LE but those shouldn't have meaningful impact on production.
I still believe there to be somewhere between 10-15K LE. If they are delivered by September 2022 as advertised this would imply another 10K+ adventure trims in the last quarter of 2022 brining the total 2022 production to 26,348 by my crystal ball. Trying to be optimistic here.

Yep that isn't going to sit well with a lot of people, but I'm not surprised.

I am surprised that 20% of their orders are maxpack.
Probably a low order amount because it wasn’t available when people preordered and also puts you over the dollar amount for possible federal tax credits

Email was pretty clear. Max packs won’t start production until 2023.
makes sense as the max pack will use more material so if they only do the large pack they can ship more units with the available material

Sorry
I do feel bad for the people here who have been ignoring the writing on the wall and are surprised by this announcement. Lets hope they can get 10k trucks out next year and all the earliest pre-order holders get their vehicles.
I do agree there were some folks who were optimistic. Partly due to Rivian giving folks false hope.

I think if they only get 10k trucks out in 2022 their stock will take a huge hit and they'll lose thousands of reservations. I think the move they'er making is to streamline production and get 25-30k vehicles produced in 2022. Patient investors will give them 2022 to get things ramped up, but if they don't make a dent they'll take a hit.

We should have more clarity in the next 3-6 months.

If they get 25k trucks out this year the stock will triple. The street is not expecting that.

Hi , Just got an update on my preorder today (April 2021 preorder R1T Adventure) Email states delivery will be July-Sept 2022. Guess might have to cancel my Rav4 Prime order
It's interesting that early 2020 and early 2021 holders have a similar delivery window. That particular period of order time didn't make much difference in the overall delivery timeline.

It would have been a lot more if max pack didn't mean a delay in receiving your truck.

This email is the first confirmation I've seen that they are putting the large pack first to get more people in trucks, meaning they are battery constrained.

I respectfully disagree on what the street is expecting. I agree with many of the ratings price targets as long as they can ramp up deliveries.

I don't think I want to wait till 2023 (it doesn't state early 2023 or late 2023) for a max pack. I changed my configuration to the Large Pack - I'd be really disappointed if my vehicle doesn't arrive in 2022 given that the pre-order was placed in 2018. As well, being in Canada, we'll probably get the vehicle much later than our friends down south.

As far as I know, no such vehicle has even been announced.

I think it is a pretty good bet that all but the most recent preorder holders will have their R1S long before somebody even has a faint whiff of some hypothetical honest to goodness competitor.
It may not be an SUV, but the VW Buzz will be appearing in 2023, so as an Explore pre-order, I'll be comparing and contrasting these two in a year's time...
