I just did slightly under 900 miles on my R1T going between San Francisco and LA. We took 101 down and I5 back. Up until the last 200 miles, we were getting about 2.2-2.5 miles/kWh on the trip which is about 10-12% better than the original Pirelli's. During the last 200 miles we were driving directly into a 20+ MPH headwind and the overall trip efficiency dropped to about 2.16 according to the trip computer.

On the original tires, it used to be 200 miles range at 70% SoC, and now the computer is saying about 214 miles at that sale 70%.

Between improved efficiency, no more screaming howl, a nice looking sidewall, and about $200 cheaper than the Pirelli's, these tires are a winner in my book.
Reviews like this keep coming in and making it harder to keep the awful stock ATs. I hate buying new tires while the existing ones have tread on them though.

Trying to convince the wife I need to get a new set this November to survive the Buffalo Winters with good tread. We'll see if I'm successful in that endeavor though. Until then, I get to live with the howl :(

It's a safety issue! :)
I made the switch in Oct and they held up very well in the snow of NH and VT.

@B Digs I just noticed that the Territory ATs are on the Tire Rack site - and now I'm thinking that I might have been searching for 275/65 when these are 275/60. Since you were involved with the development of these tires, can you comment on why the smaller diameter was chosen?
Hi Keith, Rivian specified the 275/60R20 size for the Goodyear tire. Compared to a 275/65R20, the 275/60R20 offers minor advantages in efficiency, aerodynamics, and weight—assuming all other factors are similar. These benefits may have contributed to Rivian’s decision to go with this size for the R1.

I appreciate the positive feedback. Glad to hear the Goodyears are treating you well!

Just rotating my Goodyears at 7500 miles they are telling me front tires 7/32” and rear 8/32”. Driving mostly all purpose around town and conserve mode while long distance. @B Digs is this what you would expect for the tire wear/ mileage. Still ride great and handle great. Some gravel road use but not a ton. Just wondering what everyone is seeing from a durability standpoint.

Made the switch today to the Goodyears. Was able to snag a 25% tire discount through USAA website. Showed the discount to Americas tire and they matched it so ended up paying 204.00 per tire (or buy 3 get one free). They look great and driving seems a bit more spirited and absolutely much quieter than the Pirelli’s.

My biggest concern is exactly that—excessive tire wear. Someone said their tires were done at 29,000 miles, which is unacceptable to me. I'm at 50,300 miles on my Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLTs, true 34" all-terrains. I think the Goodyears are more of a solid budget option for those switching from OEM 21s to 20s without much off-road interest.

At 200 dollars a tire I’m going to drive it like I stole it. Had 20k miles on the Pirelli’s with lots of tread left but they were so loud. If I can get the same I’ll be happy.

That’s in the ballpark, give or take. The weight and torque of Rivians make it challenging for tire wear. As always, your mileage may vary.

I don't ask the wife's opinion on anything except which sofa I should sleep on tonight (j/k).

thanks for the insight! They look great but I am still holding out for a 275/65 version. The slightly beefier profile of the Pirellis is something I want to retain.

Yes I didn’t realize how much a 1/2 in sidewalk makes looks wise. I’ll run these and maybe down the line go back up if I find a tire that fits the bill.

Pirelli's were howling and wearing strangely, so putting these on today (at service center cuz I'm lazy and don't wanna deal with DT.) Plus, need an alignment anyway. Looking forward to picking it up soon!

Edit: Oh wow. I can hear myself think again. 😂

So Rivian SC in San Antonio installed mine and they are at 56 psi. Isn’t max 51?
