Is your whole persona just going online and belittling people and pretending you’re better than everyone else?

seems like you’re just insufferable.

I don’t like someone’s opinion online …. I’m going to tell them what a big grown up I am and how they’re just not as evolved as I am. I do everything right. Be like me.

being a condescending ass really isn’t substantively useful for the conversation. Seems like you’re more hung up on this thread than you are on your car not working. 🤡
You're making posts about how terrible it is to have to select the radio station manually in your 100K dollar supercar, and I'm the insufferable one? LOL okay.

I hit the point quite well. I honestly couldn't tell you how many times I've had to reset my software this year, because I have more important things to concern myself with. It could be 3, 8, or 10; it doesn't matter. It confuses me how people can fixate on unimportant little shit like that to find a problem where there doesn't need to be one. I have business obligations, family obligations, friends, and hobbies, so I do not have time to concern myself with such trivial issues.

Do you realize how great your life is that you have the mental bandwidth to count how many times you've had to reset your 90K dollar SUV in the past year? There are children in this country who will go to bed without something to eat or a place to live tonight. Some people live their lives in constant pain with terminal illness, facing their mortality every day with grace and courage. Here you are, with your little tally sheet, counting vehicle resets.

I may have a reputation as a fanboy on this forum, but the reality is that I don't excuse Rivian for unacceptable issues. Take a look at my comments on @portdirect's threads. He's had some real problems, and I've recognized them as such. Resetting your software 10 times a year on your supercar doesn't count. Wouldn't you be happier counting all the things you have right in your life instead of how many times you've reset your Rivian? I can't tell you how to live, but if I went around making lists of how many times I've dealt with an issue or inconvenience in my day-to-day existence, I'd be miserable.
My raptor? Something right in my life. My 2016 ghetto Sienna? Right in my life. My house that’s gained half a million dollars in 8 yrs? Right in my life.

but we are here on a Rivian forum. So guess what? I call em like I see em. That’s how I post on here. I talk about Rivians here. The software is fine. But it’s not good enough. I expect more than ‘fine’ at this price point. Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to go do a reset because my AM/FM radio isn’t working again….

If your Rivian is the only thing wrong in your life, you can sell it. Why aggravate yourself constantly? You "call em like you see em" because you see things too negatively. I am grateful for anything in my life that's "fine" because there are too many times when things aren't fine. I don't expect perfection in anything, because life doesn't work that way.

One thing I can tell you for sure is Rivian's software is miles better than Ford's.

Lots of folks need something to complain about. Otherwise they wouldn't subject themselves to such awful situations like needing to manually select a radio station.

If me wanting the basic functions of my car to work trouble free is “an incredible level of entitlement” then ok. Guess I’m guilty.
IMHO, the basic functionality of a car is to get me from point A to point B reliably and safely. Everything else is just nice to have. But, yeah for the price I expect Rivian to offer more. But it's all above basic functionality. My R1T hasn't left me stranded, yet.

You mean they want to complain to strangers (who may not give a damn) so they feel less invisible? Rhetorical.

Every single Rivian owner has the option to "share feedback" with Rivian, right at their fingertips 24/7, in their Rivian Mobile App. Yet... here we are. I can't even call these cat fights, because cats are smart enough to know when to stop. Right, @Oldsmobile_Mike?

Solid point about the "share feedback" button in the app. It would be mildly amusing to know the number of people who've actually used it vs just posting here. Although I think as a society we've become accustomed to sharing opinions on social media.

As far as cats, these two dummies don't hesitate to smack each other on the head every chance they get. But shake a jar of treat and they stop right away:

Maybe Rivian just needs to give us a jar of treats? 😆

Or some people need to try catnip.

Yeah Fords software is pretty crappy. But CarPlay made it great lol. Won’t go down that rabbit hole with the latest RJ comments.

there are things that I like with the R1S. The faster L3 charging and the HVAC controls in the app with those updates being a couple. Price point bothers me the most with my issues. I still feel it’s a massively overpriced car

It's cheaper than a Range Rover, and kicks its ass in the 1/4

I'm now on my 4th R1T. I also have occasionally gotten frustrated with the software, but what I find interesting is the vehicles all had different bugs. My new one doesn't have any, yet. Even the PAK works......every time.....without getting the phone out of my pocket. On my first Tri Max it never worked, phantom driver seat moves over night, constant radio issues, etc, but it drove great with excellent efficiency. My QMs efficiency sucked by comparison (even in conserve) along with the software issues. Don't have 1,000 miles on this one yet, but everything works great. No wind noise, no software bugs, highest efficiency yet (weather has been perfect) and I'm on all season tires. Last one was "range" set up. They keep getting better; which is the goal.

Tonight I had to reset the infotainment system in my wife's Jeep Grand Cherokee because the screen was blank. I could hear music, and adjust the volume using the mechanical knob, but the screen was blank. LOL. My Mach-e needed to be reset periodically also.

I get the frustration, and I have had to reboot my R1 20-30 times since I got it in March. But then it goes for weeks working perfectly fine. IDK. It is annoying, but I am not at your level of frustration for sure. Especially when I know the alternatives really are not much better.

You should check out the software issues with the Lucid Gravity. Now THAT is something worth complaining about.
