What I found odd was they couldn't understand that a comparison couldn't be made since Tesla was selling CT's to themselves. We simply don't know how many they sold to external customers.

Secondly if you want an off-road centric Tesla there is only one option where with Rivian you have two options. If you need an SUV you get the SUV and if you need some truck like aspects without it being a massive truck then you get an R1T. The R1T is a truck with an asterisk next to it. It's an adventure vehicle where people lump into the truck category as there isn't an adventure vehicle one.

The Hummer came in 3rd place for sales in Q3, but that number includes the Truck and the SUV variants. They don't distinguish sales between the two. If you combine both the R1S and R1T the sales are well over 10K for Q3 2025.

Then there is the Silverado and Sierra EV's which are very similar and if you combine the sales of both then they easily outsell the CT.

I imagine there are a lot of contractors buying the Lighting and that's part of why the sales are fairly stable and decent. The sales of the Silverado and Sierra are gaining steam now that people seem to be finding out they exist.

Contractors can't buy the CT due the image problem has. It's one thing to gross people out on the road but if you show up at a customers house with that eye sore you might be asked to leave.

I expect the combination of the GM EV trucks offerings to exceed that of the F-150 sometime early next year.
