Halloween costume stopped working for no know reason

I was able to download the Rivian OTA update and app update and the Spooky Swamp worked great…for 48 hours. I turned it off last night when I went to bed and now it doesn’t work at all. It says it’s working in the app, and I can make selections, but the truck doesn’t react at all in Manual or Motion settings. No music, no lights, no sounds…nothing. It was working great…now nothing. All other app functions work and the truck drives fine. I soft reset, hard reset, reset and reinstalled the app, and nothing. I have tried putting it in Drive and then Park again as well…nothing. This is a 2025 Gen 2 R1T Dual Max. Anyone got any ideas why it would go from working great to no costume response at all?

There have been lots of reports here the Halloween mode is buggy or not working at all. So unless you simply forgot one of the steps getting it turned on again (like waking the vehicle first), you are probably experiencing some of those reported issues. That seems more likely since you already had it going initially…

Mine also has stopped working this morning. The app shows it as active, but the Halloween mode no longer activates in the actual truck. Worked fine since I received the update a few days ago, but just stopped working this morning. All other commands from the app are working correctly, just the Halloween mode is not activating. Mine is a Gen 2 R1T Tri Max for what it's worth.

It does not work in either our G1 or G2 as of last night. Must be a bug.

Pretty much same story. Mine just started working again today. Now I can’t get the inside music / screens to turn off lol. Not doing anything about it because I want to show the kids when they’re ready before it gets dark. Def some issues to work out.

Now it “sorta” works again with no actions on my part. It will show the screens, and initial play the music, and I can manually trigger the outside sound effects, BUT…motion doesn’t work, and if I change the inside soundtrack, it switches to the SiriusXM station I have tuned in! WTH did they do here…?

in addition, the update broke my Gen 3 Tesla Wall Charger’s ability to charge my truck on a schedule. I had to modify the Tesla charger settings to get around whatever Rivian messed with in their software, and have disabled my charging schedule for now until they issue yet another OTA update to fix what did not need fixing until they broke it trying to make it better. That is a rant for another thread…
