My Rivian, my Teslas have the brights set to Auto dimming. Set up and forget. They all work beautifully.

OK and what is wrong with mine that 75% of semi trucks flash for me to dim the lights. Yes the lights seem to create a dark space for cars and seem to be OK. This a dark two lane highway.

Trying to explain something like style or taste is trying to explain what something looks like to a blind person. No matter how good of a job you do, something gets lost in translation.

Things like style and taste DO matter to the majority of people because most purchases and decisions are based on emotion.

You laugh at the thought of people making a purchase based on style or taste but there are many industries that specifically cater to it.

The headlights in our gen1 are the best headlights I’d ever had, until we got the gen2. driving them back to back - would I upgrade to get them: no, are they better: yes. There are a lot of things about gen2 I dislike and prefer on gen1: doors, door handles, indicator asthetic, charge port cover construction, charge port led, etc. Gen2 also has psudo zonal arch - where they stuff three controllers into a single box for example (one day I may write about this). But headlights, they actually improved and are worthy of being called gen2. Cannot comment on suspension - if It’s better in the T I can’t tell as moving from 21 to 22 wheels made a huge difference to the feel in general.

What if they were x86. Then would you upgrade?

I don't think there is anything wrong.

Your matrix headlights are carving around the trucks but because the light is close to the cab, the driver mistakenly thinks your brights are on. It is definitely a different experience they are getting when a matrix light goes all around them compared with a stupid low beam that just shines down into the ground 20 feet in front of the headlights.

I now am seriously thinking about purchasing another Rivian. The Rivian hopeless fanboys on here have enlightened me and made me realize that what truly matters is that Rivian has stylish service centers and spaces, and as if that were not enough, Rivian also came up with the greatest, most original cartoonish pet mascot. That's all that is needed to buy a Rivian. Nothing else matters.

You are free to make whatever vehicle purchase you want - no skin off my back. I'm just not a fan of your tone, and you seem to think that your opinion of something is better/more important than everyone else's.

Additionally, your continued implication that the only (or maybe real?) reasons that we bought our Rivians was due to the service/sales centers decor or the Gear Guard character is just stupid. I'd like to think that the majority of this forums' members that own a Rivian factored in things like it being electric, having lots of utility, being capable of some impressive driving feats, and so on. You know, a multitude of reasons.

There's nothing wrong about expressing your thoughts on a subject. But your doubling and tripling down (if not more) on the sarcasm makes you come off like an ass. Capping off you latest post like Trump doesn't help things out either.

Apple Music. The only issue I am experiencing is with Apple Music. It never worked; will play 2 or three songs from my play list then stop; the steering wheel volume play/pause controls stop functioning. I then had to reach over the console (usually while driving) and fidget with the controls on the screen to get it to start again.

Following my October service and OS upgrade, it started working a little better. It would go about 5 songs before stopping, but the steering wheel controls would work (pause / play) to restart the music.

This past week, it started doing to "Nope! Ain't gonna do nuthin!" bit again. My work-around has been to fire up Apple Music on my Android phone and stream it through there.

It's the Rivian app. Apple music works fine in my husbands Tesla and when using the BT work around. It would be nice if they could fix this.

And while we are comparing Apples to oranges... the Tesla allows for hands-free texting. That still is not a thing I hear about with Rivian.
