I see you have an R1T, and this comment pretty much nails what I was talking about above. Most people really don't care. They like the vehicle, how it looks, and its creature comforts, but the off-road stuff is just an added bonus.

But to your point, the R2 has better approach/departure angles. But the Outback would have a better breakover angle AFAICT.

Appreciate the info about breakover angles, higher vs. lower being better or worse. Would be cool to try and calculate the breakover angle

Brother, it's a little early to start trolling and dumping on Rivian for color choices. Why not wait until we actually know what colors they offer before you start ripping into them?

As for being old enough, my 13-year-old son also recalls Rivian's bold initial color offerings.
I think you misunderstand. I'm not implying that there won't be other colors. I am stating disappointment that given the opportunity of the LA Auto Show, they just parked the same R2 we've already seen in hundreds of pictures. Hence my assertion that it's a nothingburger.

Also congratulations to your 13 year old, perhaps you could ask him about popular internet memes to better understand the chosen phrasing.

Um, FFS, I did not come to this forum to learn what is an SUV and what is not. I’m on page 3 now, hopefully this ends soon.

So...did we do it? Did we find out what an SUV is?

Excited for the future of Rivian, but that is some unfortunate wheel design.

At least we sell good looking wheels 😅

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I think those stock wheels look great.

R2 vs. Jeep Recon comparison look at LA Autoshow

Disappointed. I watched that whole vid just waiting for him to say the letters S.U. and V., in that order, so I could leap into the comments section and unleash my wrath.

In other news, I feel so enlightened by this thread I think the circumference of my head piece has grown due to the enlarged brain tissue enhanced by a new designer drug called S U and V. I need a new hat.

I have to wonder how upset the R2's computer is going to get when I pull the doors off.

(Ancient Audi A6 gone) - 2 wheels-only for now Honda CB500X
Has anyone seen interior cargo space specs for R2? I am guessing around 75 cubic-feet with the rear seats folded, plus the frunk. Thanks in advance for any additional detail.
Presumably we get more R2 specs at the Rivian January event. 75 cu ft seems pessimistic for R2 though, given you are including frunk as well. The MY is 75.5 cu ft on that same basis.

I expanded the table below to include some capacity data to give some idea of where R2 might land. It now includes R1S and M3. For s***s and giggles/selfish reasons I also listed my venerable A6 as an almost 28 year-old vehicle size comparison because that's what I'm coming from :)
