TLDR my 2023 QM AT R1S has been pretty problem free, but last few times I went to Burbank SC, I left with more issues than I arrived with.
Starting about 2 months ago, my vehicle failed to wake up when I entered the garage. I have locking/unlocking turned off at home, but in the past when I walked into the garage, the car would wake up on its own (I always use the key fob). When it doesn't wake up on its own and I enter the car and press the brake, the steering wheel/seat don't automatically move to the stored positions. I replaced the battery in the key fob and tried a reset, but neither solved the problem.
I dropped it off at Burbank SC for them to look into the issue and also fix a cracked windshield (unrelated). At pick up I asked if the issue was resolved and what caused it and they said they couldn't find an issue. I explained again what happens and they tried to unpair/pair the key fob, but couldn't get it to pair. Then another tech person took it back and ran another diagnostic and said the front bluetooth sensor might need to be replaced. Great, can it be done via mobile? No, you need to come back. Ok.
A few days later, as I waited for the follow up appointment, the battery error icon appeared and so did a rear sensor error message. Never had these problems before and maybe it's just coincidence, but noted the issues and added to the existing appointment. Dropped off my car and they had it for about 2.5 weeks. They said they couldn't find any issues w/rear sensors, but there was a 12v battery fuse that was giving off HV battery error. So they replaced the fuse and the HV battery error message disappeared. How about the key fob? They said there was a part in the key fob that needed to be replaced and everything works as it should now.
On my way home (11/20), I noticed some rattling coming from the back. Today, I tried to open the lift gate to see what the problem was, but it wouldn't open. First time in 2+ years I've had any lift gate problems. Tried opening manually, via key fob, and also via center console, but wouldn't open. I could hear clicking noises. Contacted CS and tried reset, but still wouldn't open. Since I had a not so pleasant experiences at Burbank, asked for an appt w/Van Nuys, but first available was 12/10. First available at Burbank is 11/26 so back I go hoping for a different result this time.
Oh and the car still won't wake up on its own in the garage. I need to manually wake it up by unlocking it, even though it's already unlocked, to get the seat/steering wheel to move when I press the brake. I won't go into the condition of the car when I picked it up, including stains on the driver seat, smudges everywhere, dirt/debris on the footwell, etc.
