bass is mix stronger. I had to turn the bass down.
Just noticed this. The bass is stronger and it might even be more consistent with proper crossover frequencies. I have standard audio with an aftermarket subwoofer. The input is tapped off the rear driver door speaker, and the bass seems not so much loud as it is tighter today.

Big time.
Didn't one of the more recent (prior) OTA's nerf audio a good bit? Is it back to where it was before that update?

I'm sitting about 3-4 OTAs back primarily to avoid the audio issues that were introduced. If it's back to as good or better than it was before, then I think I may take the plunge on this OTA.

Still no joy here for my Gen 1 with Connect +. I checked my app while sitting in my office and it was saying the truck had limited connectivity so I couldn't really do anything from the phone. Went out to the truck and it has 4 bars of LTE. Rebooted the phone - no help. Did the scroll wheel reboot and eventually it connected. But still no update.

Yea that's what I want to know. Is it back to what it was before the Halloween update(I'll call that baseline) or better than baseline.

As always, it's a slow rollout to the whole fleet over a week or more. Nothing you do will affect your place in line. They also only seem to release the next wave in the afternoons, it's not continuous. The whole point is to try and make sure they don't accidentally release a nasty bug to the whole fleet at once that their internal testing didn't catch. Yes it sucks, but better than the alternative. I say that as someone that had my infotainment screen nerfed a couple years ago by a bad update that had certificate issues. Luckily my truck was driveable, but I couldn't even turn on the HVAC and it took them a few days to get a fix out. A slow rollout meant that the number of vehicles impacted was relatively low compared to what it could've been.

Thank you for saying this.

Rollouts happen in the afternoons, on weekdays. In my experience I see this;

If you are connect+, assume 1-4 business days.
If you aren't, assume 3-10 business days.

There is no way to force the update, short of calling support and being a Karen.

Trying turning off auto install and putting it on wifi. Usually works but Gen 1 isn't getting much except a center map so I'm in no hurry myself.

Installing now. Woo hoo. Haven't been in the early batches for a while.

Just installed. Waiting for carkey activation… but in meantime. The sound system really is much better! I wonder why they didn’t call it out in the release notes maybe it was an embarrassing fix

Just got it. I had to install from my console screen as the install now was greyed out on my phone. I even tried changing the auto install time and it didn't take. Has this happened to anybody before?
