interesting. I have the 119 version and it’s rock solid. Quiet, smooth, tracks well. I expected worse traction compared with stock but have yet to squeal them on the cloverleaf so they are just fine.
My take on the Pirellis's is this:

For me, my OEM Pirelli OEM 22's with 115 load rating tires didn't last longer than 15K+ miles after I bought my truck.

But, my new 22" Pirelli sport tires with 119 load rating and thicker tire tread grips the PNW streets and mountain curves with all traction and performance I could ask for. I'm also past the 15K mile mark.

And my R1t Quad still gets an average of 2.2 miles/kwh. So, buy what you want and what works best for you.

unfortunately not available for the R1 sizes.
I've put them on two R1Ts. Checked on them for this truck (22s AS) and they were available. Don't just check online. Go to a Plaza Tire or equivalent and ask. Most of those tires are price controlled anyway so you will pay the same money.

I can only speak for the Nokian tires having just had them installed last month on my R1S. The only downside I have noticed is more pronounced road noise than the stock Pirellis. There is a ton more tread on these tires and they have a nice warranty. We had our first snow here last week and while they're definitely not snow tires, I don't think I've ever had a tire do worse in the snow than the all season Pirellis did. Overall I'm definitely happy with them. I ordered mine from Tire Agent with a couple of coupons (AmEx Offer & Capital One Shopping portal)... for the price they are just unbeatable. I've always had good experiences with Continental tires too but I just didn't consider those because of the lower load rating which may be meaningless but I figured get the recommended rating.

Good info, since I don't tow or haul large cargo I'm less concerned about the 116 vs 115 rating. But was also leaning towards the Nokian because if all things equal , get the higher rating. Co-Pilot Ai is suggesting I go w/ continentals

I've got a little over 20k miles on the Contis and absolutely love them! I can highly recommend for anyone not towing or carrying heavy loads where the higher load rating would be warranted. Meaningfully better than the OE Pirelli Scorpion Zero by every measure except the load rating.

This is literally a made up answer. The tire is not available in the 22" OEM size. It's not on the website, and not available at the 275/50/22 at any tire dealer. Find me a single link or reference where the Crossclimate 2 is available in that size.

I'll believe it if you can show me a picture of the tire on your R1T or it's availability absent a picture irl.

Gemini Ai Suggested the Nokian (LOL). I pulled the trigger on the Nokians, there was a 20% discount for these that made them much more attractive

LOL... I traded it on a new Tri September 30th. I had just put the Michelins on around September 1 when I ran a piece of metal through the Pirelli sidewall. It was my 3rd set of them, but first two were on 20s.

For the 22's, there is a Michelin Pilot Sport 5 (actually one of the OEM tires for the gen2 quad), but no Crossclimate 2. Believe me, the CC2 is a GREAT tire, I wish they made it for Rivian.

You must be mistaken if you think you had the 22" cross climate 2. I could not find them anywhere online or in stores.

I'm sorry. I checked with tire store & I bought the Michelin Agilis CrossClimate tire. I bought the "2" for our X5 a few weeks ago. Similar, but not quite identical tread and they were excellent. Same rubber compound as the 2.

This tire has only an R speed rating, and is meant for very heavy vehicles like motorhomes or fifth wheel trucks (the load rating is 126). A max speed rating (R) of 106mph is not appropriate for the R1 which has a limiter higher than that even for non Gen2 Quad models.

The OP also asked for a 22" tire and the Agilis only goes up to 20. Your dealer sold you an inappropriate tire.
