Looks like it's pretty well made. Do the straps stretch at all? Looks like the length can be adjusted?

This same cargo net is half the price on Amazon. It’s just a standard cargo net used in Baja etc.
They were charging $150 for woodblock toys made of MDF (AND THEY SOLD OUT)

Rivian gonna Rivian on the branded gear as long as we are willing to waste our money.

For one that stretches, I'm using this one:
https://www.amazon.com/ARKSEN-Tangle-Free-Universal-Stretches-Storage/dp/B07J4FSSWM?th=1

I use it in 3x3 hook configuration when the tailgate is up and 3x4 configuration when I'm using the EV1 bed extender.
Thanks. I have a somewhat similar one that I got to help with longer loads or loose stuff in the bed. I've only used it a couple times but it works well so far. Here is a pic of how I used it with a 12' long steel panel. I just slid it over the end like a sock LOL.

It's like a Walmart shopper complaining about prices at Design Within Reach. And it’s not even April!

$150 is only 0.2% of MSRP of lowest version of R1. And it's a toy no one is forced to buy. Selling out fast doesn't necessarily mean there was a lot of people who are bad with money. Stock could have been very small, as it was hand-made and designed by Discommon (a boutique product & industrial design firm). Boutique products are always made in small numbers and never sold at economy prices.

For those who don't understand the cost of this cargo net... Sure there are similar on Amazon for fraction of cost, but those overseas manufacturers face far less litigation risk if their products don’t measure up to claims. If customer has problems, the seller could simply not respond or just disappear from Amazon overnight; only to resurface under a different name. Everything Rivian put their name on, they assume liability. So everything they put their name on is vetted and marked up—to cover legal risk they must assume, all other overhead costs and profit margin. Put yourself in the position of operating a retail business, with liability-risks and need to cover your butt... You would want to make sure you have funds to mount a legal defense too.

The non-stretch type is meant for heavy loads and to keep it from moving at all… since heavy things carry more momentum and possess potential to cause damage without having much velocity.

For "good enough" casual use… I keep two nets under the rear seat:
