I am still waiting .46 update for my Gen 1 R1S. Is it delayed?
Same here, non-subscriber.
As noted by roamer, roll out fell on the holiday and caused delay, is likeliest explanation.

You're welcome!

I will say, of the last 5 updates they have hit that 5 (business) day period almost spot on. I don't think they drug this out intentionally but given lots of folks were likely OOO for holidays they delayed it. Unfortunate timing.
Not sure I'd agree with that. I don't even look for the rollout until we're two weeks in at this point, but maybe a couple long ones biased me.

G1 R1S no connect + and I ain’t gotten sh!t

I’m ok with that. The only time I was at the front of the line for update was the one that totally f’d up any Rivian that installed it. I was part of the lucky 3% that did install it before they halted that roll out.

I have data for 5,000 vehicles going back over a year. I can assure you most finish within 5 business days. Yes there are stragglers but I just checked and every one hit >= 95% within a week.

Surprised they haven't resumed.

I think I first noticed your timeline post in July after you commented on a post that I made about non connect+ lagging. I think I'm always first wave of non-connect (might only be one wave?). My data shows:

2025.22 - 8 business days, 10 total days
2025.26 - No data personally, but seeing 8+ business days, 12+ total per forum threads
2025.34 - No data
2025.38 - 6 business days, 8 total days
2025.46 - 11+ business days (13 before you remove holidays), 19+ total days

Even assuming 26 & 34 were on time, that's under .500 in my books.

For being flagged or seeing it as available to install?

Most of the time delays are due to connectivity issues. Rivian silently doesn't show you anything until the update has fully downloaded.

Even on my Dune R1S it would take 10 tries to download due to the antenna being in the rear and it gets parked nose-in. Every time fails to download, it takes at least a day before it retries. Adding time before you are available to install it.

I have not personally experienced any noticable delay between flagged and available, other than if I'm not home, but it shows up minutes after I first hit wifi.

Doesn’t Rivian has two WiFi antennas? One in front and one in back

This SW was released on 12/18, right? And Rivian Roamer's data indicates most releases are completed in 5 business days, right? Can we call BS on that now? It's 11:49 PM on Monday, 1/5. That's 11 business days. Not 5. Not 2x that at 10. It's 11. It'll be 12 tomorrow.

And, BTW, why can't rollout take place on non-business days? Do they shut down their servers at 5:30 when they punch the clock to go home? This should be an automated process run by computers that doesn't stop for weekends or holidays. What is so magical about business days for a rolling wave rollout of SW our vehicles download from a server?

Waaaa! I don't have my free stuff!!!

That's what all this complaining about slow OTA updates sounds like to me. Rivian could stop doing all of them tomorrow and forever and there is nothing we could say or do about it. Nothing.

Because they are not required to provide updates and we are not entitled to them. Think of them like gifts, and be thankful when you do get them. Instead of stomping your feet and crying like a toddler when they don't come on time.

It says generally, 5 days. And people wanted to take off over the holiday. I don't think it's BS, the vast majority of updates have completed their rollouts in 5 business days.

I was part of that 3% too. I've got connect+ but I'm perfectly fine not being at the front of the line for updates after that.
