I concur. We had our silver R1S done in ceramic in 12/2023 (dont know the brand as we had it done…they wanted $1300 but I talked the car wash down to $1000) and we wash our car about every 2 months mainly to get the inside cleaned. Yes, we live in LA a not so harsh weather arena but it has rained a ton recently and the rain never leaves spots. A very very good investment.

Also, you won't go to jail if you don't claybar and iron remove and all of the other stuff they say to do before you do a ceramic coat. If the price of a pro job is too much for you and the time to do all of that prep stuff is keeping you from doing it yourself, just forget the prep. Wash it and do it. It's easier than wax and works a lot better.

I did it when I did mine of course, but I'd rather see someone do a DIY ceramic without claybar prep than not do it at all.

First thing I did was polish and ceramic coat my Riv. Top tier move. Car washes are rarely needed and are a breeze here in ATX.

I clay barred the car first and then applied the. Is way better than before I did this. The car stays cleaner longer.

I bought all the products for ceramic coating from adams polishes. Have still not gotten around to doing it. Any comments on there graphene ceramic coating ? TIA

Hope it is as easy to apply as the Geyon. It looks like a daunting DIY task.

I used the Adams Graphene Ceramic kit on top of my Xpel stealth ppf. It was my first DIY ceramic coating. It was tedious but I love the results. Winter in WI sucks as it’s either snowing or melting so it’s still difficult to keep clean. Because it’s so cold I don’t have my exterior hose to simply rinse it off.

I have no awareness of the graphene paint products, but the Adam's graphene tire dressing is life-changing. It looks great, cures to a nice sheen but not bright shine. Lasts months. You can also use this safely on motorcycle sidewalls because it cures and won't run. (Non-curing, old-style tire products are deadly because they run onto the tread and make it slippery.)
