Just replaced my OEM Pirellis (got 34,000 miles) yesterday with the new Bridgestone 21's. They were $360 a piece, and Tirerack now offers mobile installation. They came to my house and it was done in an hour.

I have never noticed a difference when buying new tires, but this time I can tell. The R1S feels so much better, like a whole new suspension was installed. These are great. Quiet and soft. Now we'll just have to see how long they last.

I just got the Bridgestone Dueler A/T Ascent All Terrain 275/50R22 they seem a lot quieter and half the price of my nitto. I paid $280 a piece. Installation was $60 at Firestone.

Mobile installation? Dismounting off your rims, balancing and mounting? Wow! Love it 😎👍

I was worried about noise, because some reviews for Alenza say that they are noisy. But Alenza has a few variations and it's easy to confuse one with another.

These are supposed to be better with wet grip than Michelin Defenders based on UTQG rating. Waiting for someone to do some instrumented testing.

Thanks for the info. I will probably need new tires in a year or so. I got 41,000 on the first set of 21 inch Pirellis. I am on pace to get more than that on my second set. I am trying to decide what to put on next: Pirellis, Michelins, or now Bridgestone is available too. I have a 22 R1T.

I just purchased the Bridgestone Alenza Prestige 21" tires at Costco, though I had expected to choose the Michelin Defenders. Alenza option was $225 cheaper per tire! Plus the lady thought there was going to be a $100 credit for the set upcoming that I would be able to apply. I'm glad to hear you're happy with them, I'll post my thoughts later in the month.

I know weather is gonna impact numbers, but have you noticed any real decrease (or increase) in efficiency? I'm planning ahead for new tires in case my tire shop sees quicker-than-expected wear (just hit 15k on OEM 21"s).

I also just got the Bridgestone Alenza Prestige 21" installed. I was planning to get the Michelin Defenders, but they were $130 more each!
So far I've noticed NO decrease in efficiency and the ride is superb. With the same mileage warranty, I think you should consider these, especially if the $-delta is similar to what I have in Canada.
Highly rexommend.
On another note, Costco scratched up my rims to shit while doing the replacement. Currently waiting on a judgegement from their insurance company to see how they fix that f**k up.
