The purple does look pretty good in the light. The Rivian store I go to is on the dark side and the color sample for the Borealis always looks super dark there. The bronze wheels to me are pretty 'meh'. I say that because they are so dark that they really don't look that much different than the normal black ones. You really have to look close to see the difference.

Yeah, I thought the same just from the pictures. For that much more for bronze rims, it better stick out, but the black sport was just fine for me.

Yeah, the wheels were an interesting one for me when up close. I don’t dislike them, but they are certainly more ‘brown’. Full on bronze could be really nice w the purple, but I’m not sure that’s Rivian style or color palette.

the purple is lovely though - understated, not too plummy, more of a midnight sky kinda color. As with all their paints, they seem very thoughtful and ‘designed’ but not too showy…

When I picked up my 2026 R1T in NY late December there was an R1S Borealis parked right next to me. Nice looking!

This is the only color I would consider to replace my Compass Yellow someday that Rivian has released. Hopefully an option on R3X.

Annnnd the snow delayed my pickup today. Now it's been rescheduled to next Thursday but I'm hoping to get it Monday or Tuesday. The SC said it would be delivered on Saturday 1/30 but they aren't open on Saturday for pickups. Super lame.
