That’s good to hear since I’m still waiting to receive the original .46 build as of 1/9/2026. I was beginning to think perhaps the delay was due to feedback on issues identified from the initial wave of recipients? I’m usually one of the last to receive updates for what ever reason. I have come to appreciate this since I can then learn from others experience. It will be interesting to read the updated release notes.

I, like you, get my updates late. In fact I just got my R1T updated last night. Just looked, and it is 2025.46.0.

Nothing for me just yet. It might be you need to download the .46 before they push the .46.30 to you (assuming you’re a Gen 2 owner). Not really sure how Rivian software releases and updates operate. I did see a post that the release notes for 46.30 build are available.

Yes, there is another thread that started yesterday. It’s a patch for those with charging issues. Release notes are also published.

Quick question for all of you Rivianites. Rivian finally pushed the latest update to me yesterday. It said "2025.46.30 is now available to download". I found this odd, since I never received notification to download 2025.46 which I thought was the update and 46.30 was a only a "patch" or minor build.

So my question is, does anyone know if 2025.46 needs to be installed prior to downloading and installing 2025.46.30 or does .46.30 look for .46 (the full update) and if it's already installed, then fine, but if it still on running the previous 2025.38.30 it is smart enough to know it needs to download and install 2025.46 before it runs the script to install .46.30?

I hope that question is clear and makes sense?

Thank you!

.30 is an updated build to correct some bugs. Could also explain delays in rollout. Some observed it’s over a GB. I think it’s a full build and don’t require previous release. If past updates is any indication, if previous version is needed, it would have been pushed to you sequentially. Rivian tracks what version each vehicle is on through their fleet management software.

Never got 2025.46 and just received 46.30 last night. Hoping it has everything. Funny that we might not see/or even get the original .46 updates if it jumps straight to 46.30.

And why would you ever want 46.0 if it contained bugs that pertain to your vehicle? when 46.30 has everything plus the fix. Based on user reports, they may very well have halted rollout of 46.0, created the hot fix and resumed/restarted deployment. This is why it's moot to wring hands over when you'll get your update. Just let things run the course.

All you're missing out on are errors.

I sent a IM to Rivian this morning and they confirmed what @UnsungZero_OldTimeAdMan clearly stated, .46.30 is the complete package. No need to install "buggy" .46 before doing the .46.30 install.

Sometimes it pays to be last 🤣

So what about those of us with the “buggy” 2025.46.0? Is Rivian rolling out the update to us? Has anyone been updated fromm 46.0 to 46.30?

I'm guessing to fix the battery temp charging error that's happening in Gen2s? Or did that get fixed already?

Additional Improvements
  • Fixed a rare issue that limited the AC charging rate setting to a maximum of 8A.
  • Fixed a very rare issue causing system fault notification after wake from sleep.
