Leasing Model 3 until R3X comes out, but now I have an R2 reservation as well.
Wonder if they are counting shades of Tan as Brown -- if so, then I still see lots of tan/pewter vehicles around.

Someone on here really wants copper for some reason. That would also be a brown, I am guessing.
Yeah, it might be. Sort of a metallic orangish-brown.

In defense of silver, it is the best color for hiding dirt. But I agree this generation loves monochrome. When we redid the kitchen, guess what colors were by far the most popular.

Grays are the new beige.

Then again, I lived through the entire decade of the 1970s, and I ask you, do we really want to go through that again? Evidently someone does, note the newer iMac in the pic.

BTW, someone here should AI a Rivian with '70s faux paneling on the sides.

They don’t call it Millennial Gray for nothing.

A lot of psychedelic drugs were consumed in the 70’s. This is the end result. 🤣

Here's me over here, just realizing they already pulled Borealis from the configurator this week... 💜😢

Well, Mike, there is only so much purple paint to go around 😉

Which reminds me, did you know when the crew was filming that Barbie movie, they searched High and Low for enough Pink paint -- they were running out of that particular shade.

My son refers to that list as "the German rainbow" as it's in obvious display when passing MB/Audi/BMW lots.

Back in 2016 when the ND Miatas debuted I offended a Mazda salesman by saying "Why would I buy one? You offer 5 shades of gray and the same red you paint every vehicle in the lineup". Granted, that Mazda red is beautiful, but not for me if everyone chooses it. 🤣

I can't figure out how vinyl stickers on silver vehicles are interpreted to indicate future paint colors, but hopeful we get as many non-gray choices as possible. 🤞
Are we sure those are just vinyl stickers? I mean, maybe they are because even the Deep Silver Metallic R2 at the auto shows was just a wrap. At least at first.

I’m hoping they have a variety of colors, but if they’re trying to mass produce and scale having a limited palette makes more sense. There will always be limited additions in the future though.

At minimum they should offer all the same colors they offer with the R1's now. The paint formulas are already there.

Obviously I don't expect special edition colors like Borealis or Dune (even though those are super IMO). Just the current R1 colors plus the new version of Launch green. I currently have the Forest Green and I definitely want that color available for the R2.
I love me some Forest Green. Looks great with the bright yellow brake calipers and accents. It’s hard to say what they’ll launch with, but there’s always room for expansion or more likely limited editions.

Another pic that appears to be from the same lineup in the original post. If you zoom in on the pic the alignment on those panels looks great.
