Really??? I feel like I get close to stated range except for certain circumstances…and my range still shows the exact same as when new after 2 years. Yours only shows 284 when charged to 100%?
I haven’t seen people reporting a drop like that. Do you have any reason that might explain the drop, like tire changes, weather, etc?3 years into ownership on R1 and at full capacity when new the 314 range was real world 250 miles, I’m now down to 284
Max range which is more like 220 real world or less, they really need an option over 400 miles which should be 325-350 real world miles of range, not every model just as an option for those that need/ want it. I can barely make my drive from DFW to Bentonville Arkansas and have been almost stranded due to the range limits and severely limited charging options on that route. Since this doesn’t apply to everyone that’s why I’m saying hopefully a 400+ range option will exist
This reporting from Inside EVs is a bit different. He says:MKBHD showed the range in his video. The car had 83% charge…my basic mathing indicates 3.1 miles per 1% of charge, or a 310 mile range for the Dual AWD launch edition. Right in line with the 306 mile range in the Model Y Performance that this launch edition seems aimed at In specs and pricing.
I have to assume they will launch a lower output dual motor later in the year that will get more range. Something directly comparable to the normal Model Y Long Range AWD.
If true, two people will be sadDid we lose the pop out rear windows?

Power open, manual close.I don't have time to watch until after work. Does the R2 have a power frunk? I remember RJ closing it manually during the intro event.
Yes. And powered cargo bars.Did we lose the pop out rear windows?
Yep - Doug was talking about having to connect the tent to the NACS to 120V adapter. Looks like any power to them or to the roof is gonzo.Yes. And powered cargo bars.
Yup my battery is down to 119kwh capacity, service appt next week to find out what’s going onReally??? I feel like I get close to stated range except for certain circumstances…and my range still shows the exact same as when new after 2 years. Yours only shows 284 when charged to 100%?
It’s going to the service center to find out what’s going on, I’m down like 15% and under 50k milesI haven’t seen people reporting a drop like that. Do you have any reason that might explain the drop, like tire changes, weather, etc?
lol come come. So now all of a sudden the range on the dash is 100% accurate and don’t have any recent diving habit bias?Doug's review was 75% with 236 miles remaining, so 314 at a full charge.
Hope it’s a quick and painless fix for you, I’d be interested to hear what they say if you want to share afterwards. Good luckIt’s going to the service center to find out what’s going on, I’m down like 15% and under 50k miles
my efficiency hasn’t changed my total battery capacity is the problem
Different batteries in the R2 so this is an unknown - 4695.3 years into ownership on R1 and at full capacity when new the 314 range was real world 250 miles, I’m now down to 284
