Did I miss the towing capacity rating?
Hasn't been shared yet. Payload stickers on the cars looked like they didn't have real data but no-one shared a great view of them.

Power unlock, pneumatic cylinders push it up, manual lower into the down position then the powered latch pulls it down the final inch or so and locks it down for driving. No pushing on the delicate aluminum hood to lock it down, the power latch does that for you :)
That's very helpful. Thanks. Not sure my wife will wan't to give up the fully powered frunk on her Gen 1 R1S Quad.

I’ve been waiting for this as well. It’s a big factor as to whether I’ll go with the R2 or something else.

Did they mention whether it has air suspension? Assuming it doesn’t but haven’t seen it reported yet.
It's been non-air (standard coil/springs) suspension since the reveal in 2024. And in every article and video since then...

I haven't seen it yet, but have any of the reviews mentioned anything about ventilated front seats?

I wouldn't be surprised if someone like EV Sportline came out with a fully powered kit for the Frunk sooner or later. Shorter folks might have a hard time reaching the top of hood to pull it down.

Different batteries in the R2 so this is an unknown - 4695.

R2 will be able to use the Tesla Superchargers just as easy as the Telsa Model Y. The charge port is located on the rear driver’s side (left-rear) so it matches the design of Tesla V3 supercharger pedestal locations. V4 are less of an issue with longer cables and position. The R2 uses a 400-volt architecture, and in the context of the current Tesla Supercharger network, this is actually an advantage over other cars with a 800-volt architecture. AFAIK, Rivian has integrated Tesla’s network into its software, allowing for “Plug & Charge” functionality where you simply plug in and the billing is handled automatically through your Rivian account.

No different than a '26 R1. If you want muskrat's member pricing still have to initiate the charge through the app. R2 will be the same.

Having watched MKB, Doug, and Jerry Rig videos, now. I'm impressed, more so than I thought I would be.

Two draw backs, and they're minor. First is the removal of the pop out rear windows, that was a nice throwback to some of the vehicles of my childhood. Second is no vents in the rear cargo area for dog owners, bit of a miss even though I don't have a dog.

To end on a positive note, it really does retain the Rivian DNA and that's the thing that will set R2 apart from the pack, 400kW charging be damned.

No 800V? WTF
We kind of knew this going in.. RJ has previously mentioned it on several interviews, it is what it is at this point. Possibly whatever comes after the R3 will be 800V?

All these videos seem very positive that the R2 is an excellent product. I hope that translates into amazing sales for Rivian!
All of the nit picky stuff in here won't affect sales. Pricing is the primary driver. If it's similar or lower than the Y, it will sell well. If it's significantly more, it won't. Things like 800v, pop out windows aren't going to meaning move the needle on the low end. People want room and looks. Which it does very well compared to the competition.
