Gimme a Porsche option of a custom color for obscene money plz.RivianTracker said all paint colors will be LE options.
Just looking at interior choices on R1 that are not paired with sound & vision are still $2500 to $3000. Tesla charges $1000 for their white interior. I'd expect at minimum to be no less than Tesla.$500 tops with other manufacturers doing it for less or even free.
Why? Two different manufacturers. Two different production volumes and order volumes from suppliers. Two different manufacturing cost structures. Yes, they both build and sell cars. That doesn't mean all things are on equal footing. Even if they use the same supplier and ordered the same amount. The contracts and volume pricing isn't necessarily the same. This is why contracts are confidential.I'd expect at minimum to be no less than Tesla.
Agree and people quoting R1 is not necessarily appropriate given different market dynamics and underlying economics of the base vehicle. Many manufacturers other than Tesla charge very little such as Volvo and BMW.Why? Two different manufacturers. Two different production volumes and order volumes from suppliers. Two different manufacturing cost structures. Yes, they both build and sell cars. That doesn't mean all things are on equal footing.
Rivian AI assistant says launch includes a heated steering wheel.Heated steering wheel? It’s not listed. Might be a deal breaker. Surely it has that.
It's an adventure vehicle made for all kinds of outdoor adventures, so I would assume every trim will always have heated seats/steering wheel at minimum.Rivian AI assistant says launch includes a heated steering wheel.
Thanks. Saw this in a vid too:Rivian AI assistant says launch includes a heated steering wheel.
I received an email a little after I "smashed" the absolutely button. It said I should hear from them in Mid-June about ordering timelines.Wonder how it works to go from reservation to 'yes, let me config and order'.
Do guides reach out?
No sure heated front seats are standard, they call out heated and ventilated front seats and rear heated for the premium. It's an adventure vehicle made for all kinds of outdoor adventures, so I would assume every trim will always have heated seats/steering wheel at minimum.
Yeah, no way to know, we're all just guessing here. But my wife's Model 3 RWD LFP which was the cheapest one ever made, still has full front/rear heated seats. I would hope Rivian follows suit and at least gives heated seats to all passengers. But I have no qualifications to make any statement as a true statement or any proof. I'm just spitting out my own opinion... lolNo sure heated front seats are standard, they call out heated and ventilated front seats and rear heated for the premium.
They are, per multiple posts on this forum. No sure heated front seats are standard...
Also, current R1 owners get priority.. Maybe I misread it or maybe employees will get first deliveries which makes the statement true.
From Out of Spec podcast from the press release, the lower trims will have heated front seats at a minimum. Don't think the back seats were included. No sure heated front seats are standard, they call out heated and ventilated front seats and rear heated for the premium.
Thanks for correcting that. Interesting that this thread is entitled full reveal when there are still quite a few open questions like option costs etc. wished Rivian had a proper spec sheet on the site rather than highlighting a few select items per trim level. From Out of Spec podcast from the press release, the lower trims will have heated front seats at a minimum.
