Perhaps this has been covered previously but I did a search and did not find this particular issue. Not really an issue but more of a question. When you move the little flipper-doodle up to turn the wipers on, you need to go through all three stages of intermittent settings to get to a fixed speed. And same thing to turn wipers off. How about they have the intermittent speeds as a down motion from off and fixed sp as an up motion?

Have you used the switch on the back of the stalk to adjust auto, etc?

You can long press down to turn off, or up to go full blast, skipping the in between steps.

I knew that at one point, but had forgotten - thanks for the reminder!

I didn’t know there was something on the back of the stalk.
It's the same switch, just passes through the stalk. And since it's on the opposite side, it requires an opposite motion from the front side of the switch.

While we are on the topic, I find the sensitivity of the “auto” wiper modes lack-luster. It is either over-eager or does one wipe every 3 mins. Here in the PNW, where there is a constant mist, I find they struggle to find the right balance.

I have notices it has gotten better recently. Previously, it seemed auto could only increase the speed, but it never seemed to slow it back down. Thus resulted in full tilt wipers at stop signs.

I only use the lowest automatic setting and it is generally too much no matter the conditions.
I often wish there was a manual style intermittent setting.

You can press in the end of the left stalk momentarily to initiate a single wipe.

I find the auto function is broken.

I hit the toggle to one of the 3 auto settings, then release the toggle with one selected.

The wipers 9 out of 10 times never turn on and when I go back to check the setting -- it's off.

Sounds like a reset is in order.
If still no dice, log a service request.
