I'm telling you, get both and sell one after a couple months of testing! I plan on getting both and trying them out. Perhaps sell the LE R1T when my Max pack is ready and let the wife have her dream black on black F-150.Well, Ford is an EV company now, and they're supposedly coming out of the gate making 1,000 lightning/week starting in March...

Looks like I should have a Lightning before my R1T. Supremely bummed about that.
I plan on getting both and the wife may decide to keep the F150 instead of her XC60. Or maybe We'll see. Still wish my R1T were first to arrive, then we probably wouldn't even consider the F150.I'm telling you, get both and sell one after a couple months of testing! yeah I am in the same situation. Although I'm in LA and the dealers may pull some nonsense with mark ups causing me to just bail on the Lightning. But if I can get it at msrp (as promised) I'll take it and drive it until the Rivian comes in.Well, Ford is an EV company now, and they're supposedly coming out of the gate making 1,000 lightning/week starting in March...

You know, people want to give "legacy auto" grief (not saying you are), but the dealer rep for me has been great, and as far as I can tell more helpful than the Guides have been. Ford is actually out talking and interacting with people to clear up questions, and Mike Levine will communicate with random Joe. I know their wave process and some dealers have caused frustration and/or confusion for some, but Ford feels much more responsive and accessible to me personally than Rivian. Rivian CS reps try to do what they can, but their hands are clearly tied with a lack of information.yeah I am in the same situation. The first dealer I dealt with was a total mess. Wouldn't stop trying to send me information about available ICE F-150s after they got my Lightning Reservation. But now I have a better dealer. I think Ford suffers from the variation in experiences customers have depending on the dealer. I ordered my Lightning in wave 3, I'd say there is a 90% chance I get it months before an r1t. If they try any funny business I'm fully prepared to walk away and just wait for the R1T. If I do get the Lightning I'll probably keep it for 3 years then sell it for a Rivian.yeah I am in the same situation. Yeah that's a good plan. I haven't driven the Lightning. Who knows, maybe I'll love it.I ordered my Lightning in wave 3, I'd say there is a 90% chance I get it months before an r1t.
