80 miles is a lot
edit: I guess 40 miles each way to a body shop or something like that would be reasonable

I do this anytime I drop it off for service to see when it goes in the building, and comes back out. So I usually know it's ready a couple hours ahead of Rivian calling. Just makes planning it's pickup better.![]()
You're driving a $100k 6500lb air tag... Just look at the app. Even during service, it shows location.
Last time I was at the service centre, which has been a bit, so not bad... The employees had a Gen 2 Quad T as a test vehicle and it was caked in mud. I was so proud of them.Na SCs wouldn't do that. Too risky, they simply ran out of loaner vehicles and lent yours out.

I guess I'm failing to understand the difference between Airtag and checking location in app. Don't they show you the same thing?I do this anytime I drop it off for service to see when it goes in the building, and comes back out. I seem to recall the app doesn't show location once in service mode. But I could be wrong. Will find out tomorrow!Do these log location history? I'm not sure the app does. So if you have to catch them in the act? Also this is weird for me because I check my Rivian app all the time, even when it is in service, because I'm obsessed with my car.
I didn’t think to check the app while in service because I assumed it was just sitting at the service center.![]()

Are you insinuating my post is a plant or bot or something? So many similarly-formatted Rivian horror stories popping up right when a lot of people are considering switching to an EV and Rivian is coming out with a new vehicle that will challenge existing EV manufacturers for market share.
