Just got the Nokian One tires installed today. My OEM 22” Pirellis probably would have lasted around 21k miles, but the previous owner either never rotated or drove in Conserve a lot. I’m at about 18k and one pair of the Pirellis were at 2/32” while the other at 5/32”.

The Nokians are definitely a more comfortable ride. It’s immediately noticeable when you go over bumps. They seem to absorb the shock better. I didn’t notice a change in noise at first, but I think they do have a little more droning at highway speeds. Not a big deal, especially considering the price.

I can’t comment on range since they’re brand new and my range estimates are all over because I tow a 28' Airstream with my R1S. After I get some camping trips done, I can provide comments on towing performance for anyone interested.

Another follow-up here. Did anyone else have the issue where your front tires would bind and hop when hard turning at very low speeds? It happened a lot with my worn-out Pirellis. However, that doesn't happen anymore with the Nokians. I didn't expect that to change, but it has, and I dig it!

Few questions

Did y'all get the Discount Tire/Americas Tire certificates with the Nokian One HTs? This just seems to cover tire failure, where the tread warranty is by Nokian?

Also to the poster about the TPMS, can I not use the ones installed with my OE Pirrelis?

I didn't get them installed at Discount Tire, so I didn't get their warranty on them, I have it on my 20"s though. Tbh these are cheap enough I don't think it's worth it for the off chance you'll need a new one.

I used the stock TPMS from my Pirelli's and had no issue.

I had that problem too. It also went away when I installed the Nokians. Nice tires.

You can use those. I just couldn't because I had already moved those into my 20" wheels with the Goodyear AS/AT tires. So I had to source new ones.

TL;DR: Nokian One HT are super comfortable, and a great value. Not enough data to make a judgement on efficiency yet but I will report back.

In less than three months, I've experienced the OEM 22" Pirelli Scorpion MS, the 20" Goodyear Wrangler Territory, and now these 22" Nokians and, if you want a comfortable 22" all season, you should definitely put the Nokian on your shortlist. (The Hankook Ion HT was my other finalist in the 22", but the deal on the Nokians was just so good to pass up -- I got all four tires from TiresEasy for less than $800 with a coupon/sale they had going, and they almost always have a sale going on. Not affiliated, just like a good deal.)

I have to say — I knew the stock 22" Pirelli Scorpion MS tires were garbage before, but wow does this highlight just how truly terrible they are. The Nokians are a vastly more comfortable ride, it's like a completely different car. The Nokians might be slightly louder than the Pirellis over certain types of pavement (broomed concrete), but it's so slight I can't be sure. And while the pavement noise might be a bit higher, because they're less harsh, the overall noise of your drive is less — less crashy/less suspension rattling from the harsh Pirellis.

Backstory/more context:
I bought my 2025 R1S slightly used with ~20k miles and it came with the Pirellis. They still had a decent amount of tread left, but were incredibly loud and harsh — it was like I could feel every grain of sand in the road. And the car pulled so hard to the right I was sure it was out of alignment. Spoiler: it wasn't, it was the crappy Pirelli tires. As soon as I put on different tires it tracked completely straight. Oh and on top of that, the Pirellis sucked in the snow.

I had the R1S only about a week before I couldn't take it anymore and ordered the Rivian-specific 20" Goodyear Wrangler Territory and some aftermarket MSW wheels, and I've had those on it for nearly three months through the worst of winter. To be clear, I love those Goodyears, and I'm keeping them — I was unstoppable this winter through nearly 2-foot snowdrifts, they're quiet and comfortable, and they could absolutely handle any amount of offroading I might actually do. I may pop them onto the truck whenever we go for extended weekends "down south" where we sometimes visit some less paved roads/light trails in southern Indiana. They're my go-to recommendation in the 20" size for anyone who wants something that's kind of all-terrain but still comfortable/quiet, and can deal with an efficiency hit.

But...I kept eyeing getting back to the 22", because (1) I need max range for the biggest EV roadtrip we've ever taken this coming summer (I couldn't do better than ~2.0 on the Goodyears), and (2) I just really missed the way my Sport Dark 22" wheels looked on the car. So I decided to give the Nokians a try.

So, in summary, the Nokians feel wonderful and were less than $1k installed, including TPMS sensors. I will report back once I have normal conditions to measure efficiency (and not the 40+ mph gusting headwinds and sub-freezing temperatures we had today).

P.S. Oh and if anyone is looking for aftermarket TPMS sensors, because mostly my searching led me to 2+ year old threads with dead Amazon links, I can confirm these ones from Amazon work just fine.
I concur with your observations. I put Nokian Ones on last week and they offer superior ride comfort. They are an excellent value. I highly recommend!

Just ordered from Americas/Discount Tire. $190*4 + Fees + Certificates. AI $1087.

Install in late May (Traveling and have 1/32 over wear bar)

Anything sounds better than the OE Scorpions. Looking forward to the swap.

The OEM Rivian Pirellis are absolute garbage and worse even Rivian is an authorized Pirelli dealer per Pirelli and refuse to adjust the defective tire. Ive had 3 with tread separation at 15K to date and am finally going to Michelins. Rivian co designed these trash tires with Pirelli and must have a long term agreemet with Pirelli to offer these tires as OEMs as you still see new Gen 2s coming with Pirellis. Sad very sad.

My overall efficiency with these after 1k miles is around 2.15 mi/kWh but that's still with some reasonably colder weather and lots of Sport mode driving in there (full time AWD, no auto-lowering, not being gentle on the throttle).

On a recent 1 hour trip in All Purpose mode, auto height, in 70F weather, averaging 56mph, I got 2.4 mi/kWh (vehicle was fully loaded with 6 people and gear).

Thanks to everyone for this informative thread! I have about 7500 mi on my 22" sport Pirellis, which I selected over the 20" AS because I wanted the handling. I knew I would take a hit on comfort, but still, I was surprised at just how harsh the ride is.

So, I am looking forward to their eventual replacement: on the one hand, the accountant in me wants them to last a while, but the driver in me can't wait.

If I understand everyone, the Nokia Ones are much more comfortable, yet still handle as well as the Pirellis? Some say they are quieter, but most say they may be a bit louder? And they are relatively less expensive than other options.

Currently these are $190.07 per tire at Walmart. Americas Tire price matched and also price matched the $18/tire install fee. $928 OTD with Cali taxes. Getting them installed next week. OEM pirellis are completely shot at 22k miles

I ordered the same! 19500 right now.

I did add the certificates. $1028 for me, they go on 5/30.

Rivian R1T R1S Nokian One HT 22" Tires installed review (aka, wow are the OEM Pirelli Scorpions terrible) 56087

Installed over the weekend, shop took 27min! Great pirelli replacement: look, quoted tread life, and price.

I did get the certificates, possibly a waste of $38/tire.

In the tire menu I selected aftermarket 22", which required a software update prior to change.
