A while back my wall charger suddenly started tripping the breaker a few minutes into each charge.
My short term fix was to throw the dip switches so that it went to the second highest charging level instead of full power. That worked, but it was annoying to charge about 10% slower all the...
Finally got my NACS adapter recently.
Do I just show up at a Tesla Supercharger and expect it to know my R1S and pull payment from Rivian, or do I need to use the Tesla app to charge?
I’m curious what the location of the black dot means on this display. I get that the bar goes down from the dot and green if I am in regen and upwards and yellow if I’m using power, but why is the dot where it is and what is the whole range of the curve supposed to mean?
Update: the listing on eBay is only up to $65.88 at this point and ends Tuesday, 07:32 AM (Pacific), so you might be able to get this puppy for less than the $300 I'm asking here. Just look for "Enphase ClipperCreek HCS-40 32Amp with 25' cable (32 A, Hardwired, 25 ft cable)" on eBay to make a...
When I upgraded from an e-Golf to the R1S, I decided to swap out my Clipper Creek level 2 charger for a Rivian charger.
While the Rivian charger is theoretically a little faster than my HCS-40 was, the difference is very small and irrelevant if doing an overnight charge

And if you get a “too many requests” error, just scan it again. That error is probably a rate limit on how many requests per minute can be done this way by any user, not by you.
It would be nice if it switched per driver. The good news is that logging out and logging in with a QR code is easy; probably less than a 20-second inconvenience.

Even before the adapters arrive, I believe you can immediately use the Tesla locations that are equipped with "Magic dock" - though you would need to sign up for the Tesla app to go that route... Magic dock automatically attaches a CCS tip to the usual NACS wand before you pull it out of the...
WOW. So glad you mentioned https://www.electrafi.com here... that is EXACTLY the window into all the data the Rivian generates that I've been looking for, or at least a big part of it. That and real-time info flowing into ABRB would be nice :-)
Nice link! Thx. Found this for my Continental Terrain Contact HT's:
https://tiresize.com/tires/Continental/TerrainContact-HT-275-50R22.htm
The 275/50R22 Continental TerrainContact H/T has a diameter of 32.8", a width of 11.2", mounts on a 22" rim and has 633 revolutions per mile. It weighs...
After a bit of sliding on the stock 22" Pirelli's in Mammoth in November, I put Continental Terrain Contact HT's on my 22" wheels. This weekend in Tahoe will be our first test of those. Mother nature is doing her best to support a valid test :-)
Check the weather seal (rubber strip) along the top with the rear hatch open. Ours had the adhesive fail and was just hanging there, draped around the hinges. Mobile service came out and glued a new one on... no problems since.
The front seat air vents are moved by dragging the vent image on the screen with your finger...
1. Click the temperature control at bottom left of screen
2. When the image of the front dash appears, touch any vent image with your finger and drag.
It's actually a fanciful over the top feature...
Very happy with my
Crucial X6 2TB Portable SSD
Also bought a right angle usb-c cable. Plug the right angle end into left jack in center console compartment and tuck drive into elastic on back wall of compartment. Never in the way and never shifts around.
