Hi all. So I’ve had my new R1S for a couple of months now (dual, max pack) and today decided to test charging at a Tesla supercharger since we’re going on a trip next week. Well immediately I encountered an issue:
location 1:
Within 30 seconds of charging, I get an error stating “Charger not working. Plug is locked. Wait 15 seconds and use a different charger”
I didn’t think much of it since I’ve had a Tesla before and encountered bad chargers. I moved to a different spot, and same exact issue. It would reach about 200kwh within a minute or so and immediately stop, same message. Plugging and unplugging does nothing. My charge limit was set to 70% and didn’t touch it.
Decided to drive to the next Tesla charger location, this time preconditioning the battery.
Location 2:
Plugged in, and same exact issue. Once again, moved to a different spot and once again the error came up.
After this I drove to an EVGo to test, and it worked fine there, but it reached about 80kwh speed.
Anyone know what the issue is? It charges fine at home. There’s also a Reddit thread on this from a month ago but no resolution. https://www.reddit.com/r/Rivian/s/peKQbh2BHW
