I told RA to play my Favorites Spotify playlist and it picked some random playlist that had a name similar to the way "favorites" might sound. It actually was pretty good. I am going to keep listening to it. LOL.

Today I asked it when the local MLB team was playing and the whether there was any info about possible rain delays given the weather (I asked all at once); it found the game time, apparently searched the web and reported that the start time was under evaluation, but the teams were doing everything they could to play since the visiting team isn’t playing in town again. I thought that was a pretty good, practical use and it seemed to nail it.
I asked it for a whimsical story and it made one up about a squirrel. When I asked it to modify the story so that the squirrel dies because I don't like squirrels since they chewed thru my solar panel wiring, the VA responded they they could only tell me upbeat stories. I told the VA that a story about a squirrel dying from electrocution by chewing solar panels would make me happy, and it still refused.

Aside from those things restricted by safety, what makes you think that every possible electro-mechanical function is hardwired to voice controls that didn't exist when the car was built?
Because it's software and that's the way software works? This was kinda the point behind networked zonal architecture.

Has anyone been able to get RA to play Amazon Music? So far I have gotten RA to confirm she has played my playlist on Amazon Music, but nothing actually ever plays. I had a feeling this would kill the use of Amazon Music since they never made an actual Amazon Music integration and it went solely through Alexa. I'd love to be wrong but it seems I will have to choose either RA or Amazon Music.

Currently, yes, that is the state of things. If you want Amazon Music integration you have to ditch RA and go back to Alexa. Hopefully they add a native Amazon Music app and RA intergration, but they've had three years to add an app and they haven't done it yet, so I'm not holding my breath.

It was enabled after installing in my truck, but it is easy to disable if you don't want it.

Will RA disable itself with voice command?

No. I told it to stop listening and it didn't understand the command and kept listening. Annoying. But you can hit the left scroll button on the steering wheel and it stops listening.

I told it to cancel and it worked. It’s not consistent though.

You would think conversing with an AI, natural language wouldn't need to be that specific. I'll try that next time just to see if it works.

Since this RA update, Universal Hands-Free (UHF) is no longer usable for me and I will likely not continue my subscription on that. The ‘keep your eyes on the road’ warnings which had finally become better, usable, and fairly reasonable with the previous updates are now virtually constant in my vehicle (an LITTLE better on the interstates). No matter where I look! It does work a LITTLE better with my sunglasses off, but here in Florida that is not an option. And regardless, as of this update, the UHF will NOT engage where it always did before (regardless of speed limit and my current speed) much of the time for reasons unknown. Says it is ‘unavailable’. BIG disappointment for me and makes it definitely not worth the cost with virtually constant screen warnings and auditory alarms.

I have a question about this update. I did the download and set up the 4-6 number code. I have to put that code in after I start the R1T. How can I cancel just the step that requires that code?

Within the mobile app, scroll down to security and access, vehicle security and toggle off lock profile.

Having used Grok & now the Rivian assistant - Rivian is better it on any vehicle controls, playing media, etc; Grok is better for navigation, getting info about stuff & is more conversational - it’s way faster too.

Interesting that both companies picked a very similar default voice, not just in tone, but manner as well, to use
