I built https://www.wheresmyr2.com/ mostly for myself and also because there are so many threads of people asking when they might receive one. I used a mix of publicly available data, Wall St capacity estimates, Rivian Stories, gossip, lies and some good ole Python data analysis!

It's probably flawed. And for my sake, I hope it is! My reservation is from 3:55 PM MT on announcement day and my own website says I'm waiting until October.

Your tool says August 3 for any build, and August 10 for specific build. It helps that I have all factors in my court including a 10:02 (pacific) reservation time. This is fun to do, I know it took some work and I like it!

Mine says July, so here is hoping! Although I don't think time reserved will really be the major deciding factor that everyone thinks.

I was pretty late reserving an R1, but received it earlier than even the most talked about influencers "skipping the line." Maybe just due to luck in where they wanted to make first deliveries.

I even put off ordering for a period because there was no local SC at the time, but one was being built (Austin).

Nice work.. did you overlay the “when did you order” tracker from this site, which has ppls orders and times of their order, to get a stochastic for TIME of that first days orders.. or at least first hours orders?

I placed a Day 1 preorder in 2024. Ended up buying a Model 3 Highland in July 2024, and stupidly canceled my preorder (I should have just left it in play). My reasoning at the time was that I planned to keep my Highland for at least 5 years, so why bother?

Ended up changing my mind and put in another preorder on Nov 5, 2025. This tool says December 2026 to January 2027 if I wanted a launch edition and aren't too picky about options. We'll see...

Interesting. If i put in my reservation date and time and am not holding out for specific launch performance flexible, I'm July 14 estimate. If i put in performance specific, it moves to July 18. If wait for lidar, Dec 31st 2026.

Problem for me is that i'm torn between getting R2 sooner and getting later in year not due to color or Lidar, but because i'm planning on going to CO and UT to hit some trails in Sept/Oct and can't decide if it would be best in R1T Quad or the R2 Performance. Third world problem, I know!

Very nice. Got data set to add target MY? I’m aiming for earliest-MY28, but could there be a wave of others doing the same with earlier reservations? So I get pushed from ~summer to fall 2027, etc.?

Thanks. Mine came out at November 22 for a March 9th reservation. I said I wanted LE with my options. I like being able to use that choice!
