Esker is that you? I think Rivian made a mistake not making white the default. If this is Esker Silver it might steal the show. So shiny! 🩶

The "$5000" price range has been mentioned a few times for this tent. Seems like a lot for a tent, but if I were to get one, I would go with this OEM version.
Zero chance these will only be $5,000. The iKamper is almost that much and this one has a clear glass top and powered climate control.

I wish it was big enough to fit 3-4 people, maybe a bigger one for the r1.

Leasing Model 3 until R3X comes out, but now I have an R2 reservation as well.

I do like a white vehicle. It reflects the most sun, too. I’d imagine Coastal Cloud interior would do the same. I’m just not sure I like it $1,000 more and then another $1,000 for the interior.

These R2 have been at the Waldorf Astoria hotel in Park City, Utah this week. The Borealis R2 has the Rivian Treehouse RTT attached, so hopefully a good sign that it will make production and be available. Spotted by @JuliaE

Would you guys consider the OEM treehouse RTT? Or thinking you'd go aftermarket?

If I can't carry my dog up into it, and I'm 71, I'm not getting it. I'll have to settle for a tent without a movie screen, and it fits on the back of the R2.

Are these on public display? Or is that private property? Just funny that the pics are taken from so far away, LOL. 🤷
There was an event noted on another post a few days ago showing 23 R2s in Park City for a press event.

I was all in on this rooftop tent idea until I finally thought about it a little deeper.
"Wait, how will I install and uninstall this thing?" :crying:

How do you guys handle these rooftop tents? Do you just keep them on at all times and eat the range hit? How do you install them to begin with? I'd be concerned with digging the vehicle just trying to lift the heavy ass thing over the car :CWL:

If you have a garage that is tall enough, you can buy hoists that easily lift or lower the tent (with crossbars attached). I think most people just end up leaving the tent on permanently.
