My quote was sky high. A Launch Edition R1T with 72,000 miles will cost $16k for 4 years of coverage.

$16k is atrocious!Yeah, I really wish I knew what assumptions they're making to get to that number. Because at 50,000 miles my entire front end was replaced and later all suspension airbags were replaced. Front half shafts are just over 12,000 miles old. The list of parts that have been replaced is very very long. I'm guessing they don't take that into account.Even Rivian is afraid of the warranty liability post factory warranty$16k is atrocious!
yea i just now tried that.. it just let me submit the form to be notified of updates as well.. ha guess they have some website updating to do..Yep, and when I used their "Explore Rivian Care" button under my account I just saw again "Rivian Care is in its pilot phase, currently offered to a select group of customers in Texas."
weird
That's a wild number. They must really not want to insure against high-mileage vehicles. For what it's worth, I received a quote of just over $4k for 5 additional years of coverage on my Launch R1T (but much lower miles than yours). My quote was sky high. Agreed that it’s super frustrating how hard it is. I was able to get a quote by sending my model/year/mileage/VIN to [email protected].It’s honestly pretty frustrating how opaque they’re being about this. Even for those of us in the covered states, getting a straight answer feels like pulling teeth, half the time support doesn't even seem to have the details ready yet. I’m definitely interested in some extra peace of mind before my original warranty wraps up, but until they make the actual sign-up process clear instead of just leaving us in "notify me" limbo, it’s hard to get too excited. Hopefully, they get their act together and post some concrete pricing and coverage info soon, because guessing is getting old.
