Can't believe it's coming up on a year of Gen 2 R1 Quad ownership! I've been traveling way more than anticipated this past year so mileage is low, but I absolutely love the vehicle.
Got the registration renewal and it is painful:
I also got the R2 invitation last week and wanted to share some of the local marketing. Briefly, we're still a maybe on fulfilling the R2 order. It was originally to replace my wife's Gen 1 Quad R1S but after a couple test drives she's leaning towards keeping the Gen 1 Quad. She doesn't want to give up her Limestone color and she did not like the R2 frunk. It was about 104 degrees the day of our test drive in desert and closing the frunk hurt her hand. It was too hot to touch and required more force than anticipated to close. We both use our frunks daily. I personally might lease the R2 if my wife doesn't want it to replace my Ioniq 5 lease, which I used for business travel, but if we do fulfill the order, we'd wait for Coastal Cloud. Anyway, I found their marketing email somewhat amusing:
