Maybe we can start a thread on the early problems cropping up (which is inevitable)? Just saw this on FB:

Needing a flatbed on the first day, a few hours after delivery, is brutal 😢😭

Yeah that sucks. I'm guessing a pretty simple fix like a connector popped open after a few hours of use. Something that passes the factory tests but will fail early under use. There were a few instances like this in early R1 production. Rivian will of course find and fix the issue and take corrective action so the remainder of the 25k deliveries this year won't have the same problems as the first few hundred

The charge port door is slightly misaligned on at least half of the "real life" R2s I've seen online. Including the one I drove in Knightdale, NC. It poked out a little more at the bottom than everywhere else.

THANK YOU EARLY ADOPTER TEST PILOTS!
I'm either skipping R2 entirely or waiting until there is an "X" model (or 3 motor variant).....by then, many of the early bugs (that are generally reasonably expected in a brand new vehicle model (and particularly from a newer manufacturer) should be worked out (or at least known).....

Sorry for OP's suffering, hopefully its a quick and easy fix.

What the heck??? They can't align a charge port door? How does that pass QC?

This is why I didn't put a reservation in until a year ago.

This is just part of owning a Rivian. My charge door has never been perfectly dialed in on my R1. They didn't want to lose that feature in R2.

Granted, I'd rather have a slightly misaligned manual door than an expensive motorized door like the R1 :CWL:

Not a fan of the motorized door either, I remember the surprise "machete mode" update o_O

At any rate, knowing all eyes will be scrutinizing these early builds, at least fix something as glaring as a misaligned access door. You can't un-see it after you notice it..

Unfortunately the charge port door is pure ass. I had to take my R2 in for re alignment. I am sure this will be alot of owners complain once they receive the vehicle. Door is ass.

Not a door it's just a flop.

Pure ass.

Ugh....unfortunate. Guess we need to start making an R2 checklist for pickup.
