Congrats! Hope to see you on the road around here soon. Haven’t spied a Twin Cities R2 in the wild yet.what was your deciding factor on the 21’s?
I’ve had several sets of the Pirelli tires on my R1T and liked the range and ride. They are spendy but I’m willing to live with that. I now have the Defender tires on the R1T and overall I prefer the Pirelli.

Picked up our R2 this morning (June 29). So far so good. VIN 1588.

About those hatch buttons….. we really struggled with the back lift gate at the service center. It was getting a bit awkward with the Rivian guy. It worked for him no problem but not for us. We said, well we will figure it out later. And I think we did, the trick is to cover the whole sensor with the pad of your finger briefly then remove. We were holding our finger in place and that was not working. In, brief pause, out. Same for the frunk. The back window does require some pressure and keeping your finger in place.

Apparently we were delivery number 10 or so out of the Minneapolis service center.

Yes.

Serious question...what color did you think it might be since you had to ask?
Thanks for confirming.
I was pretty sure it was GW, but the bottom pic almost looks like it has a blue tint/hue which threw me off and I almost thought it was Launch Green. My phone and old eyes must be failing me.
GW is in the running for me, it always seems to look so bright and shine really well.

Leasing Model 3 until R3X comes out, but now I have an R2 reservation as well.

It’s hard to beat a white vehicle. It reflects the most heat, it shows off the body and lines of the vehicle, and it contrasts nicely with the darker trim.

All reasons why we love our GW/Forest Edge R1S. They also nicely hide how dirty they really are, unless you mistaken wipe a clean spot on them. 🤣

They were “ok”. I’m planning on getting separate wheels and tires for winter. I change and rotate tires myself. I just got a set for the R1. I got Continental Viking Contact8. I’m hoping that tire is going to be made for the R2 as well soon.

My understanding from the review videos was that they are buttons to be pressed not sensors to be touched, which has been most of the confusion?
Yes that is seems to be throwing a lot of people off. It's pretty easy, just need to push it like a button even though it doesn't look or act like one.

The buttons are 100% consumer training and education.

The frunk button you press and hold for like 1/2 second then just be patient and wait 2 seconds for it to open up.

The rear glass you press and hold for like 1 second and the glass goes down. To bring back up, you have to press and hold for safety reasons as glass can pinch you obviously.

I had no issues and they worked every single time perfectly once you understand how it works.
