The video was epic @OutofSpecKyle. Good stuff. The timing and release of this fun video is also refreshing after the range test video. Redemption lol.

As an aside I do dabble in musical creation despite not having any musical talents. So far I've resisted any temptation to use AI to help. I feel like it will be a massive gut punch to the soul if I did.
Agreed - if I ever gave in, I can mentally picture my composition professors staring laser beams into my face as a form of execution.

My son is a writer who is working on several books. He refuses to touch AI also, and it can be the kiss of death in writer communities if there is even a hint of AI. He won't even use it for the "cover" artwork.

I want to hear music written and performed by humans. Same for books. I think a huge percentage of people, hopefully a majority, feel this way.

But, does he use AI for research?

I think if I was a writer I'd use AI extensively for researching ideas. But, I would not use AI at all to actually write the book.

I'm currently creating a video game based on concept I thought of years ago but I didn't have the kind of capability to even create a prototype of the game. Now with AI I can at least create a prototype of the game. If there is any interest whatsoever my plan is to remove all the AI created 3D artwork and replace it with human generated art.
