Ordered Yesterday an hour after the email. Catalina and Coastal Cloud. The confirmation said 8-12 weeks, but I got another email this AM saying it's in pre-production... Hopefully it's sooner rather than later - I'm excited!

Yeah I got the same email yesterday with the same order date as you.

I have Esker Silver chosen, so probably waiting for the next batch of Esker Silver R2s to be produced for delivery.

It took me 2 1/2 weeks to get my VIN, I got one of those each week I was waiting (now waiting on delivery date). So excited to get the Rivian email and so bummed when I realized it wasn't my VIN. Like a kid at Christmas sometimes you get socks before the present.

Ordered yesterday. Got the preproduction email this morning. 10 minutes later got my next steps email and VIN had been assigned. Catalina Cove with black interior. Seattle area.

they offered home delivery for $1500. I live 20 min from delivery center so did not take them up on it.

How many of you out there have been invited to order but are unable to do so because you are ordering Coastal Cloud? That is my situation.

I am in the coastal cloud camp. My cynical prediction is that they took a limited number of us early adopters who had indicated CC as our interior choice and extended an opportunity to order before the end of the month. This way they have technically fulfilled their obligation. But…but the time period between ordering and delivery will much longer than what we have experienced. And that’s okay.

I hope not but you're probably right. An agent told me today, or at least repeated the corporate line, that it will be 8-12 weeks vs. the "normal" 2-6 weeks.
