Rational thinking is sometimes in limited supply. You’re point is valid, but if stopped for another reason this would likely be another piled on infraction.
If WA state had that option I’d take it. We’re also waiting to get the digital drivers license as an option. The wheels of progress are slow up here.

You’ll likely get lots of feedback here. I’m not a Rivian apologist but I would also say there are many good example of vehicles in service relatively trouble free.
Yeah you need to reach out and let them know you’re a gap in delivery. They sometimes need a nudge to get a response. If you’re close to a service center you could also stop by and ask.
That’s the now classic problem. No advanced warning. It would be great to load test them but getting them out without bricking the truck seems problematic. A problem waiting on a solution.
