  1. Good news for NACS adapter shipments. Tesla ramps up production to 8K units per week

In addition, there is the much more likely scenario (already happened), where for some reason your Tesla doesn’t charge at a supercharger. Call Tesla, sorry not supported. Call Rivian, sorry not supported. It very well be a problem unrelated to your aftermarket adapter. Software bug, billing...
  2. Good news for NACS adapter shipments. Tesla ramps up production to 8K units per week

Great timing. Reminded me to get my UPS package from front door. Thanks. VIN: 52xx Delivery: May 22 update: used it at the month old supercharges behind Ranch 99 and went from 65% to 70% in about 2 minutes. No issues with attaching or removing the adapter. Almost as easy as the Rivian chargers.
  3. My Dog is Afraid of my R1T

The trick is acclimating them 6 months before you get the car. He also loved the popcorn they made with the camp kitchen.
  4. Congestion Reduction Pilot for EA

Agreed that charging to 100% at busy public chargers in charger dense areas is both a waste of time to the person charging and the people waiting. I disagree that charging to 100% at a public charger is always a bad idea. I’ll give a concrete example: https://www.plugshare.com/location/605354 I...
  5. San Jose Service Center - timeliness, service, wait times, etc?

I had my R1T in yesterday for multipoint inspection, tire rotation and (finally!!!) powered tonneau replacement. It took a couple of months to get the appointment. Although to be fair they would have had me in a couple weeks earlier if I wasn’t on vacation in BC. Anyway, dropped it off first...
  6. Got my Rivian NACS Adapter

    They haven’t even made it through May of ā€˜22. May 27, 2022 - 52xx
  7. How Many R1 Pre-order holders are still remaining ?

I see a dozen dual motor R1S available. No R1T or Quad for gen 2. Have they shipped any Gen 2 R1Ts? Or are they focusing on R1S? Note I’m happy with my 2022 R1T. Probably going to cancel my other reservation s00n.
  8. BC Ferry and Charging Amnesia

If you have any questions I can tell you were I charged. Don’t have it all organized yet.
  9. BC Ferry and Charging Amnesia

I didn’t realize they were that new, but with Rivian ramping up deliveries in BC, you would think they could add these. ABRP has most of them and Rivian should have access to the ABRP data.
  10. BC Ferry and Charging Amnesia

The On the Run worked fine for me with Apple Pay. You are right it doesn’t know about them. But at least in the part of BC I’ve been in, these aren’t niche players, they are the primary ones available. It would be like trying to navigate in US without Electrify America and ChargePoint.
  11. BC Ferry and Charging Amnesia

PlugShare was good. There was only one station I used that wasn’t there. I added it. https://www.plugshare.com/location/626773 Got here last night and the only charging I’ve used was the Nema plug at Blackcomb Spring Suites. The Rivian portable charger plugs right in. Perfect for an overnight...
  12. BC Ferry and Charging Amnesia

Almost done with a British Columbia vacation from Port Angeles to Ucluelet on Vancouver Island to Port Hardy. Prince Rupert, Prince George, William’s Lake, Bella Coola (probably the first Rivian to visit) and Whistler. The day after getting off the BC Ferry from Port Hardy to Prince Rupert and...
  13. Next Batch of NACS Adapters Shipping to Rivian Owners!

What makes you think Rivian has the authority to approve for use on Tesla Superchargers? Why would Tesla want to speed up access?
  14. Key Fob Failed (happy ending).

Last week I noticed my key fob was missing. Asked my wife but she hasn’t seen it. Next day my wife found it in my pants picked when she took it out of the dryer. Full wash and dry cycle. Tried it. Didn’t work. Rivian suggest soft reset and a service. soft reset didn’t work. Note the fob (and...
  15. Any hints as to when the factory will start producing Rivians again?

Rivian restarted the lines at the end of April. It takes a little while to get cars through the line, longer to get them to the SCs. Even more time to prep them. I suspect some people have or will soon have post shutdown vehicles. But there is probably a bit of a backlog, so they probably don’t...
  16. RJ interview on CNBC - May 8, 2024

Sort of. Apple turned off this feature, in software, in the US. You can buy an Apple Watch with this feature outside the US (e.g. Singapore). Same watch. Slightly different firmware.
  17. RJ interview on CNBC - May 8, 2024

I heard the answer very differently. He talked about how they had a vertically integrated software stack, not just for the UX, but also the MCUs and that was a core part of the architecture that ā€œcould be leveraged for other products.ā€ And that Rivian’s stack has significant value. I read that...
