Yes indeed, clearly the case. At this SC, the far right spot is Handicapped reserved, blue sign threatens fine, etc; it IS a particularly wide space. One I used is next to it and the same width as the others which seem more generously sized than the dozens of other SC’s I’ve used with my Teslas...
Looks like a very good deal worth pursuing. The used market prices have fallen pretty dramatically in 2024; this pricing is not outrageously low. Some careful investigation should dispel the numerous valid concerns of some fellow forum respondents. Best wishes.
Visited a relatively new SC in Stuart’s Draft, VA today to try out my new Lectron adaptor. Was able to position my R1T within marked lines, all the way to the right, and connect to designated charger. Apart from juice billed @$0.42/kwh and the adapter’s reluctance to let go of the charger cable...
An enabler for some ‘bad actors’….granted. BUT, a second set of eyes on the road, maintaining speed/distance and centering. If used as intended, actually a safety enhancer.
‘22 vs ‘25 cost of ownership considerations…..
1. If you live in a state with annual personal property tax (like here in VA), the ‘22 could be meaningfully less.
2. Insurance? Some companies use the 800+ HP as a premise to charge higher premium.
3. Resale: you’d be selling/trading a vehicle 3...
Is there talk of blind spot camera being activated OTA for the fleet or just a perk on newly manufactured R1’s?
It’s a great safety feature I’ve come to rely upon in my Tesla S.
R1T 10/23 so…..ordered the Lectron. took 5 weeks to arrive but….seems to work fine, will incentivize me to drive the truck on trips formerly reserved for Plaid S.
I’d totally agree. Driving my 5th Tesla…..seldom any problem though some locations have gotten very popular and I’ve had to wait as much as 15-20 minutes for a vacant stall. Once or twice out of literally hundreds of visits I’ve encountered a non-functioning unit.
Been waiting 5-6 weeks for my Lectron adapter; just got word couple days ago they’ll be shipping shortly. Happy that it works well. Also looking forward to using it with my Tesla 90A wall charger.
An early Tesla adopter (‘08 Roadster, ‘13S P85+, then an X, a 3 and now a Plaid S), of course I hadda have a CT. First day deposit placed years ago when dual motor was to be $59K, timeframe seemed almost believable and Elon Musk seemed far less malevolent. Lots had changed when I got my build...
