Figured out the left drivers side gasket is way narrower due to being packed w more cables than the right gasket. Switched and it was a lot easier. I was just thinking the same thing as I struggled with this cable, but seeing how flaky Drive Cam has been so far this first month of ownership...

You want endurance grade cards intended for dash cam use. Usually correlates with price but not always.

Not all NAND flash created equally. if you can find endurance spec SLC flash in a USB stick, have at it. Experience is the best teacher. Best of luck.

Wait a few drives, it will fail again. Been using a Samsung PRO endurance card with ssd reader and it works for about a day or a couple of drives, then fails again. I’ve done a reboot almost every day. In process of installing a third party Dashcam (Viofo A229 Pro), can’t rely only on Drive Cam.

USB flash drives not great for this application, will die after multiple write cycles. Recommend microSD cards specifically intended for Dashcam use - Samsung PRO Endurance or SanDisk Max Endurance with a usb-c reader. Or a large SSD drive.

Amazing work. It appears the seat belt latch for the middle seat goes away with the 40 split removal, yes? So only one passenger w a seatbelt on the remaining 60 portion of the bench? Kind of makes a little more sense to remove the 60 portion instead, if true.
