  1. Consumer Reports Reliability Ratings 2024 - Rivian last

This is exactly it. How many soft reboots have you done? ? ??
  2. Consumer Reports Reliability Ratings 2024 - Rivian last

All but the most fanatical for the brand would whole heartedly agree with this ranking. Compared to the last 5 new cars I've purchased, this one is at the absolute bottom. And on that list are, gasp, Stellantis vehicles.
  3. Powered Tonneau 'We Owe' Installations

Mid-May delivery for me, and 'we owe' tonneau install in early August. I did have to pester them a bit to get an appointment on the books, but they delivered it as promised. Tonneau operation has been flawless for me thus far (minus all the very loose bolts in the bed I had to snug down...
  4. Virginia WTB: Gen2 R1T Tartan/plaid cloth floor mats

Looking to buy a set of Gen 2 R1T tartan/plaid cloth floor mats. Not sisal. LMK if you have a set you are interested in selling, and i'll help you fund your all-weather ones ;)

  6. RAN Chargers "coming soon" in Fredericksburg, VA

That's a little more put together than when I drove through in late September.. which was just wires poking from the ground at that time.
  7. How to turn off auto height?

Continues to be my major complaint at the current time. Truck drives like hot garbage in auto mode. I would be here for whatever class action suit gets filed on this, but I'm guessing there was an arbitration clause buried in the paperwork and setup screens I didn't bother to read. I wish...
  8. Rivian’s U.S. sales fell 34.9% in October (Ouch!)

Concur with everything here. Add to that, the Saudi's already see the writing on the wall and are actively trying to diversify beyond the oil industry. Perfect example of this is the heavy investment in Lucid to bring production domestically.
  9. Rivian’s U.S. sales fell 34.9% in October (Ouch!)

Concur on that, traditional fuel prices have been on the downward trend, will we see them coming down to the sub $2/gal price in the near future, who's to know? Once we can solve the charging station situation (seems unlikely to get federally incentivized now, really), the proposition for EV...
  10. Rivian’s U.S. sales fell 34.9% in October (Ouch!)

You know, I'm not so sure. Politics aside, I'd wager a guess that the federal incentives start to go away next year, but that may actually be a net good thing? The EV market needs to drive downwards in the model ranges with more affordable options. This might be a wake-up call that $80-90k...
  11. Rivian’s U.S. sales fell 34.9% in October (Ouch!)

That's pretty telling. Electrek reports 17,911 Kia EV-9s so far this year. I think EV demand is soft, but it's still there...
  12. Charge to 70% or 80% ?

Never buy off lease anything. EV or not ;) Maybe the only exception to that is commercial airplanes?
  13. Charge to 70% or 80% ?

On a lease, 100% concur. It’s the bank’s car. When it goes to wholesale, it’s someone else’s problem. That’s the agreement. I’m not vacuuming out and double clicking the pump on a Hertz rental.
  14. Charge to 70% or 80% ?

Is this a role you play on the internet, or are you like this all the time? I would LOVE for you, Florida Man, to explain it to me though. I bet it’ll be a real hoot.
  15. Charge to 70% or 80% ?

Why would I care about the next owner of a leased vehicle? Why would YOU care? I’m making a monthly payment to use 100% of the truck, not 80% of it…Why would I limit my usage of it for someone else? It’s not like chase is going to give me money back…
  16. Official: Scout EV SUV & Pickup debut w/ Gas Range Extender EREV, 4x4, BOF, Lockers, Sway Bar Disconnect -- All Specs, Wallpapers, Videos

and Mazda is toying with a compact rotary as a range extender. High RPM and quiet makes for a good generator. Probably not longevity though lol
  17. Official: Scout EV SUV & Pickup debut w/ Gas Range Extender EREV, 4x4, BOF, Lockers, Sway Bar Disconnect -- All Specs, Wallpapers, Videos

We had a Chevy Volt Gen 1 the first year they came out, and had the opposite experience. The engine came on 4 times in two years of ownership. Twice on long road trips where we exhausted the range, and twice during maintenance mode. I never changed the oil LOL. The first time the engine...
  18. Bloomberg: "Cracked Skull, Fractured Bones Show Dangers at Rivian's Factory"

Rivian is painting vehicles by hand? That’s weird? I hope the workers get a fair shot at unionizing, if that’s what they want to do. Lot of bad that comes along with the good of unions… saying that as a previous union member and a union supporter. Unfortunately in this case the unions will...
