You aren't wrong ;). That said, I bet the loaners are cheaper than you would expect, otherwise they'd adopt the BMW model and just use new cars, take the depreciation on them, and resell them as CPO loaners. Unless they are worried about their loaners requiring as much service as the vehicles...
