I had it numerous times on the highway when I had my R1T. Driver’s + is garbage, but manly because the navigation platform is horrendous. If Rivian would dump Mapbox and go with Google, Drivers + would likely improve.
If I still had my R1T, I would definitely get one. Hate using the fob, but PAAK is so horrible I had no choice. This would have been very helpful though!
Definitely frustrating and understandable. I had my front struts go out on my wife. Once replaced, the left front still wouldn't calibrate correctly and it took several trips to service to get it to properly level. On a positive note, that is one awesome looking set-up! Love the camper and...
The Tesla wall charger is 48 amps, but charges cars faster than anything else out there so a far. Even my Rivian tech (who used to work for Tesla) said the same thing. It charges at a faster rate than the Rivian wall charger. Basically all 48 amp chargers are not the same.
Once again Tesla leads the way. I bought the Tesla wall charger w/ J1772 and it’s awesome. Easily the best and fastest level 2. I wish this new version had come out sooner as now I have two TWCs!
THANK YOU FOR THIS!!!! My frustration with the FOB and PAAK is getting worse. I seriously almost got mugged one night in a parking ramp because the f$&@ing doors would unlock. This is ridiculous, uncalled for and very unsafe. This isn’t new technology and every other car manufacturer does it...
Yes. My brother lives in Appleton and my father drives over from Minnesota. Charging infrastructure is especially limited (and half of it doesn't work - surprise) unless you are driving a Tesla and using the Supercharger network, which works great.
Same here. Road tripping the R1T is a PITA and makes me want another Tesla as road trips are not an issue with them. Luckily I don’t road trip much, but I won’t be taking mine on trips outside of the home area for this very reason. NACS will help, but we are only getting 12k of the current...
After testing my entire charging system, the tech determined the issue to be the adapter and told me to not use any adapter and to just get a J1772 charger. They said if I continued to use it, they wouldn't cover it under warranty, so I bought a Tesla J1772 wall charger and things are working...
EXACTLY! My R1T got fried using a Lectron adapter on my Tesla wall charger. Luckily Rivian fixed it, but would again if I continued to use the adapter, so I had to buy another charger. 3rd party solutions are a bad idea unless it is approved by the manufacturer.
I also just completed a long cross country and am completely disappointed in the navigation. It wouldn’t let me choose chargers that best fit my route and I was even sitting next to a charger 15’ away and it routed me 50 MILES out of the way. Happened twice! The navigation and Drivers+ is...
as a Tesla and Rivian owner and the fact that I just got back from my first road-trip in the R1T - Take the Tesla. I have driven my Tesla all over the country without a single issue. My road-trip in the Rivian makes me kind of want to get rid of it. Charging is a mess. Almost every stop had a...
Love the looks of my 20” but the road noise is getting a bit old. The 21” are significantly quieter (like no noise) and if I did it again, I would go 21”.
is it not working, or are you not giving it enough time to actually work? If you try to open the door too quickly, you haven’t given enough time to actually lower and it will pause. That is by design.
Majority of range loss is the aggressive, heavy tires, not so much the wheels. I’m guessing the lack of flats to make these more aerodynamic will make very little difference . Great idea and look good, but likely not beneficial at all.
