I'm interested where they are sourcing their parts from. It's great to have 95% secured but I'm really hoping they'll be sourced within the USA to keep prices down given the uncertainty around trade right now.
I use this when I camp and have an inverter handy -

something like that might work for you, except this model is 240v
I dont hate the character but the crappy MS paint drawing is f'n ugly
Hopefully they re-do it. Looks unprofessional. The character itself, a yeti wearing outdoor gear? No problemo
2nd glovebox is kinda cool, but not a must have, and the handwarmer just isn't necessary for me. V2L is an absolute want (240v, 15amp). Re the fold-down tailgate, no reason why they can't put a tray under the floor for a full sized spare that can double as a seat..
Also, the back venting is...
personally I feel charge port should be on the passenger side to enable kerbside charging (at least for a slow charger). Middle of the front would be cool. I seem to recall some american muscle cars (was it the original mustang?) that had the fuel filler neck behind the numberplate.
What is a...
Love this post. Pretty much what I'm after. I'm not interested in a sunroof myself, I'd rather a hard top without added cost/complexity, and I dont even know what a stellar stereo is, but everything else is a 100% yes from me
Yep - longer cords but also wondering why having a charge port in the front center of the car seems out of the question. Would hopefully keep everyone somewhat happy
Not in the dead centre of the car no, but it is between the front and rear wheels. IE the middle of the car. The terminals can be wherever, since the battery HV needs to feed in to the motor controller first (you know, so we have pedal throttle control and not WOT 100%), which then goes to the...
I thought I had it bad with my R32 GTR. The windscreen is not just mould specific, it is batch specific, since GTR windscreens from 1989 onwards had the antennae for the radio moulded inside the window layer - look closely on any R32 GTR and you'll see a thin metal strip in the middle of the...
Can it fit I wonder? Forgive my paint skills but I'm on my second bourbon.
Specs that the rim is 275/50/r21 which makes it a 32" diameter wheel with 275mm width :p
I figure its a good idea to give space for those who want the space, so add another inch on the 275mm to make it 300mm/12"/1 foot...
Would definately love an analog compass plus one of those bubble roll axis balls. Probably though, something like that could be made as an aftermarket accessory that attaches.... somewhere... ?
Odo and trip meter should be easily visible on the drivers screen, I agree
The charge goes in to the battery, which is in the middle. The battery then powers the motors. regardless of whether theyre in front or rear, after first going through the drive controller/human interface.
Btw I found a vid to demonstrate what I think Rivian should do with the spare tyre - make it a drawer instead of underneath the trunk floor (since you'd have to empty the trunk to get to it) and its not bolted to the underside (which is a pain to get tyres on and off plus ruins aerodynamics)...
Hi folks
I agree with the above for sure ;
- improved cameras compared to r1s
- 220 in the back (specifically 10 amps safe delivery)
- Selectable Regenerative Braking levels like Tesla
- Range extending driving mode (use only a single motor)
- More capabilities in the mobile app
- Off Button so...
Its amazing the amount of tesla fans who bought the CT are now on youtube pointing out how BAD it is, and how the specs are nothing like what was originally promised.
I laughed very hard when I saw the video of the idiot shooting holes in his CT and then saying 'Elon Bro you've got to get me...
