Full sized spare would probably be mandatory here in Australia. Space savers are OK but if the car is capable of off road (which an AWD with 10" clearance would easily) then you'll want a full size spare. If I'm to compare it with the most popular offroad car here, the Landcruiser, the cruiser...
Not quite true. I have a Nissan Skyline and a Subaru forester, both RHD... fuel filler is on the drivers/right hand side of the car in both instances. They might be different for the US market though
I very much like the first model but as a forester owner, I really hate the angled rear window. With small wheel base and 4 doors, the boot/trunk space isn't great unless you stack things, and you need all the space you can when going camping
I wish SUV manufacturers would make the rear windows...
You can have programmable buttons easy enough. Just build the facility in to the touchscreen and have the physical buttons as a configurable control interface. You want to use button A to answer a call? Program it to do so. You want it to mute the audio? Do that then.
That said, who on earth...
This is pretty much what I want to do too. I've got no problem with going to dual motor to get extra range, but as others have mentioned they absolutely must have a locking diff option.
Some people have an opinion that a 2 motor setup with a mechanical diff is superior than having software try...
Here in oz, the national limit is 120kph (approx 75mph) but most states cap it at 110kph (70mph approx) . Most people that tow caravans tend to only go 80kph since it is the legal minimum on some national highways, and they do it simply for the fuel economy. Unsurprising to see more power used...
Interesting. I'm wondering if that suspension could be modified to have a single 'inner' strut that mounts to the pivot, and replace it with a dual setup, then reverse the pivot point to being on the 'outer' side with the single inner strut replaced with a twin fork setup mounted closer to the...
Thankyou very much for the photos. I'm incredibly disappointed by the lack of depth in the frunk and the lack of height with the tonneau cover closed.
I guess I'll be waiting to see what the R2T is specced like, or I 'settle' for an R1S
Le sigh
Which would be cool if they could take up all the space, but generally you need some external space (plus ventilation) in order to keep the compressor from working too hard. Is there any ventilation in the frunk?
I for one am incredibly disappointed with the frunk and the bed height.
Not one of them will fit my 45 litre fridge/freezer in it. Frunk dimensions have changed since the unveiling, so it now isn't tall enough with the false floor (which wasn't there before) and isnt wide enough (due to the fan...
Yeah this is odd. Every one of my cheap chinese made head units that I've purchased in the last 10 years has had at least USB in and the majority have microSD too. 512gb is enough to put a lot of FLAC on
I really want to know how wide the narrow under-section is in the frunk (ie the shorter dimension) is.
The coolant duct that protrudes might mean that my fridge/freezer won't fit. It looks like a lot of fridge freezers will barely fit in the tray, and the frunk has changed a lot since the...
