I am sure if they were to make one for $1800 it would be of even higher quality but they thought their market would be to undercut the Rivian offering (whenever that turns up).
I looked at the city government permit page. Someone on this forum posted several links including the Rochester New York location which was recently approved.
Agreed they are repurposing old building but that doesn’t make the most business sense. It costs more and takes longer. What they need over the next couple of years is more hubs around the country where people can go in and check out the vehicles. People will then assess colors, interior...
Thanks for the update. I tried searching for permits for Edison and Trenton but had no luck. At least if permits had been issued there would be a chance of opening in 2023.
This is fantastic. I would love to see either of the NJ centers planned for Trenton and Edison. I see for the Rochester NY one it was approved in February so does that mean it could open this year?
A much smaller increase this time and exactly what Rivian will be doing as they fill post February 2022 orders. Dynamic pricing makes sense and is needed for Rivian to make money.
We will see what they report but I would expect around 12K as a reasonable bump from the 10K last quarter and well on the way to 50k for this year. If it is in track I don’t expect a big stock increase since 50-60k is priced in for the year.
It is all relative. A car this size doing 6 seconds is quick by any reasonable measure and it was not that long ago when 8-10 seconds was typical for a normal vehicle. Most people who drive family haulers don’t need or use super car speeds.
I am a October 2021 preorder holder and my estimated date, from Brooklyn, for an R1S was first half of 2024 so surprised you had Q4 when you have the same SC and an order date two months later.
