I have a 23 R1T with PTC. I usually top out at 75 in my part of the country and get about 2.4 efficiency. I only had the R1T for a short period before adding the mudflaps. And for the person asking about install, they were easy to install, using existing screw locations.
Interesting. I have not noticed an efficiency hit on mine, though I did not conduct an exhaustive analysis. Can you elaborate how much of a hit you saw?
Not an expert here but I thought PPF films were supposed to be self-healing if warmed by something lot hot water or the sun. Perhaps you are noticing more of the abrasion in the Winter due to the cold?
My local DT has always used floor jacks, never a lift, on my Rivian. But I also do my own rotation with two floor jacks. It is entirely possible to do so that way.
I’ve used DT a few times and have been pleased with their service and the care they take. Plus I like their tire hazard certificates which I bought for my OEM tires. They really have earned my business. They still don’t do alignments, though. Interestingly, they said they won’t put a Rivian...
I have the same ones. The kit includes SS bolts in silver that are supposed to replace Rivian body bolts underneath. They are needed because they are longer. Unfortunately, you see them from behind and they stick out like a sore thumb. In my case, one of my Rivian bolts WAS longer (factory...
As a Rivian owner, I quickly noticed the enthusiasm for the brand and bought some stock ~$14 as I saw more upside than down. Still I think it has more risk than companies already making a profit, and so only bought enough I could withstand taking a loss. I think the VW venture is a big boost...
I’m watching this thread and wondering if you even own an EV? You don’t own a Rivian according to your profile. I’m thinking you only own the stock and are trolling these forums for investment Insight.
FWIW, fuel economy is ALWAYS a factor in auto shopping, whether gas or electric. And it...
I don’t see the R2 making that much of a difference just because it is released. Too much competition and waning EV interest. Gone are the days of unsupported spikes for new EVs. That is not to say there won’t be small bumps here and there, but profitability is the only way Rivian stock is...
No, you’ve got me entirely wrong and I think your last sentence is a little insulting. I am actually seriously considering this bike. That is why I took the time to email Also and ask the question about the seat to verify it was a standard mount. I don’t stand on pedals when I ride and seats...
There is no way they can design a saddle (seat) that fits all varieties of rear ends and riding styles. In fact, I suspect marketing had just as much to do with which saddle chosen. Put on a sleek, athletic seat to attract the hard core riders that are more likely to pay the higher price.
This looks like the same checklist I had at 7500, which was a mobile appointment by the way. Of note, the tire rotation can be separated out to reduce cost if you do those sort of things yourself. However, removing the tire gives the tech a better view of the suspension when doing the inspection.
If anyone else is wondering, I asked via email a question about being able to switch out the seat for a wider one since this can’t be assumed from the radical redesign they did. The answer I got was it is switchable for a seat of the rider’s choice for the solo and cargo stems. The bench stem...
I took from their website and videos that this seat is intended for people that want to ride the Also like a scooter. It looks to be too low for anything else.
Rotors don’t need to be replaced unless there are grooves or they are out of planar due to too much heat from overuse. You don’t see it much more, but used to be you took your rotors to a shop and they simply reground them flat. Just had to keep a minimum thickness. I think the onslaught of...
+1 on ABRP. I use it first to plan a trip. It is a little more complicated to set up, but it also obtains live data from the Rivian while traveling. When it does choose a charger I don’t want there is a process built in to replace the charger with another one.
In the old days, like the 80’s & 90’s, third party service manuals, like Chiltons, were sold in auto parts stores. Got one for a Toyota Previa cheap. But also obtained the official Service Manual thrown in as part of the Previa buy. Then in 2006, I did the same thing with a GMC Envoy (thrown...
I haven’t seen anything on the comfort of the standard Solo seat. I’m not a fan of narrow seats and prefer more cushioning. Did they address whether the actual seat part is removable and can be replaced with a different seat type?
